VidCoder is a powerful application designed for DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding on Windows systems. Leveraging the capabilities of HandBrake as its encoding engine, VidCoder offers a more feature-rich user interface compared to the official HandBrake Windows GUI. While VidCoder can rip DVDs, it does not bypass the CSS encryption prevalent in most commercial DVDs.
To use VidCoder, you will need to have the .NET 6 Desktop Runtime installed. If this is not already on your system, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. Additionally, the Portable version of VidCoder is self-contained, eliminating the need for any. NET Runtime installation.
