Key Features of Task Explorer
- Thread Panel: This feature presents a stack trace for the chosen thread, providing in-depth insights into the current activities of the application. This panel is particularly useful for diagnosing deadlocks and performance-related issues.
- Memory Panel: Users can view and edit process memory, taking advantage of the advanced memory editor and string search functionality for precise memory management.
- Handles Panel: This panel displays all open handles alongside relevant information including file names, current file positions, and sizes, revealing what programs are currently accessing on disk.
- Socket Panel: Users can monitor all open connections and sockets for each process, complete with data rate statistics. Users can choose to enable pseudo UDP connections derived from ETW (Event Tracing for Windows) data for a more detailed oversight of network communications.
- Modules Panel: This section shows all loaded DLLs and memory-mapped files, with options to unload them or inject new DLLs. There are several other insightful panels, including those for Tokens, Environment, Windows, GDI, and. NET. Users can also open Task Info panels in separate windows for easier management of multiple processes.

- Performance Panels: Offering substantial graphs, these panels illustrate the usage levels of CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network, and GPU resources. Users can choose to collapse the system info panel for more space or open it in a dedicated window, enhancing their workflow flexibility.
