Download Now: Apple Launches iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 Beta 3 for Developer Testing Ahead of Official Release

Apple has launched the third beta version of its highly anticipated iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates, now available for developers to test on compatible iPhone and iPad devices at no cost. Additionally, developers can access beta 3 versions of macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26, all of which can be downloaded directly through the Settings app of each device. Let’s explore the process for downloading and installing these updates.

How to Download Apple’s Latest Betas for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26

To download the iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta, users must first link their Apple ID to their Developer Account. Without this connection, the Over-The-Air (OTA) update will not appear in the Settings app. Once linked, open the Settings app and navigate to General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Follow the prompted instructions to successfully install the latest beta version. This procedure is identical for both iPhone and iPad users.

In conjunction with the mobile updates, Apple has also rolled out the beta 3 version of macOS Tahoe 26. Users can find and download this update in the Software Update section of System Settings. However, it’s important to note that a known issue currently prevents installation on Apple’s M-series chips. Intel-based Macs can install this update using the same process. Ensure your Apple ID is associated with a Developer Account to receive these OTA updates.

Furthermore, Apple is also providing developers with access to watchOS 26 and visionOS 26. Both updates are available for download through their respective Settings apps. For watchOS 26, it is crucial to charge your Apple Watch and ensure it has at least 50% battery life before initiating the update. To begin, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and navigate to General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the installation. The visionOS 26 update can similarly be accessed via the Settings app on the Vision Pro device.

Concerning new features, we eagerly await feedback from developers who will delve into these latest releases to uncover any modifications or enhancements. Notably, all mentioned updates promise a significant interface overhaul branded as Liquid Glass, which is generating much anticipation. The stable versions are expected to launch later this year in September, coinciding with the unveiling of the iPhone 17.
