Apple is expected to unveil iOS 18 in the coming months, while the company continues to address problems on iPhones operating on iOS 17. The initial release of iOS 17 was plagued with numerous bugs and issues that persisted for several months. Although most of these problems were resolved in subsequent updates, the latest iOS 17.4.1 update introduced boot loop issues in addition to security updates. To address this issue, Apple has released a revised version of iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1, potentially containing a solution for the boot loop problem on iPhones.
Apple Addresses Boot Loop Issues with Updated iOS 17.4.1 Release for iPhone
Apple recently launched iOS 17.4.1, which includes several bug fixes, performance improvements, and important security updates for the iPhone. Despite these updates, some users have reported experiencing boot loop problems after installing the new software. Although it is unclear what changes have been made in this update compared to the previous version, it is worth noting that the build number for iOS 17.4.1 is now 21E237, while the previous build had a build number of 21E236.
MacRumors contributor Aaron was the first to discover the latest update, but did not provide much information about any changes in the new build. It is important to note that iOS 17.4.1 is a minor update and does not introduce any new features. The reason for Apple releasing a revised version of the build is still unclear, and it is not confirmed whether it will resolve boot loop issues on the iPhone. However, there is a strong possibility that the update will address the existing bug.
If your iPhone is stuck in a boot loop, please note that you cannot install the updated iOS 17.4.1 version directly on your device. Instead, you will need to use your Mac to update to the latest version. If you are not familiar with this process, simply connect your iPhone to your Mac and update it through the Finder app on your macOS. If you have a Windows computer, you can download and install the latest iOS 17.4.1 update on your iPhone using the iTunes app.
As previously stated, Apple has not disclosed the features of the latest build. We will continue to provide updates as soon as the company releases the updated notes to the public. Please inform us if the update resolves any boot loop problems on your iPhone.
