DOOM The Dark Ages Siege Part 2 Guide and Walkthrough

The chapter titled The Siege Part 2 in DOOM: The Dark Ages picks up right where the previous installment left off, featuring intense combat against demons and cultists within the chaotic backdrop of a battlefield. While this stage does not take place on an active battlefront, players will face formidable foes, including yet another Titan, challenging their combat prowess.

Comprehensive Walkthrough for DOOM: The Dark Ages Siege Part 2

In the Siege Part 2 chapter, keep an eye out for various secrets and items you might want to collect:

9 Secrets
1 Codex Entry (Collectible)
1 Toy (Collectible)
1 Demonic Essence Upgrade (Health)
2 Rubies

As emphasized in our previous walkthroughs, the map serves as an invaluable tool for uncovering hidden locations and collectibles. If you’re close to an undiscovered item or secret area, it will be highlighted on your map. You can also monitor your collectible progress on the right panel, enabling you to see how many you’ve already found and what remains.

Secret #1: The Early Discovery

At the outset of The Siege Part 2, you’ll utilize a turret to defeat a Titan. Once that objective is complete, pursue the quest marker to locate a climbable wall leading to a barred opening, which can be breached using Shield Bash. In the adjacent room, use your Shield on the left side of the crate to unveil another opening ready for attacking with your Shield (as depicted below).

Crossing through the entrance reveals a secret area containing a Life Sigil and some gold!

Secret #2: Ascending Heights

From Secret #1, execute a Shield Throw at the gate adjacent to the Life Sigil, then scale the crate straight ahead. Upon climbing, scan the area to your right for a climbable wall that you might overlook (illustrated above).Completing this climb leads you to a second secret area housing a Gold Chest.

Secret #3 and Collectible #1: Explore the Castle Interior

Continue following your quest marker until you reach a terminal that grants access to the castle interior. After dispatching your first Revenant inside, navigate the wooden walkways. At the room’s apex, glance to the far left corner near where you initially climbed up to identify another boarded opening suitable for a Shield Bash (as shown below).

Once you’ve bashed through, check left to find a Toy. Ascend further to access the path leading directly to the Toy Pinky Rider. This marks your third secret location as well as your first collectible of the chapter.

Secret #4: The Courtyard Challenge

Advance to the courtyard, where you’ll encounter two Revenants and a Pinky Rider, alongside locked gates requiring a Secret Key. Head left into an adjacent room for another combat scenario.

Secret #5: The Hidden Balconies

After unlocking Secret #4, remain in the room and ascend the staircase to reach the higher balconies overlooking the courtyard where the Secret Key awaits, as indicated on your map.

After a Revenant confrontation, you’ll be level with the Secret Key. But before collecting it, nab one more secret. Enter the next room to find another boarded opening on your right, which also requires a Shield Bash for access, granting you the fifth secret area and a Life Sigil.

Secrets #6, #7, and Collectible #2: Unlocking the Gates

Before proceeding, descend back to the courtyard and apply the Secret Key on the locked gates for further discoveries.

The primary locked gate yields a Ruby and secures the sixth secret area.

The second gate, positioned left of the first from the courtyard’s perspective, contains a collectible Codex entry, marking the seventh secret area discovered. With this accomplished, you may continue following your objectives past the point of no return.

Secret #8: Hidden Treasures in the City

Upon entering the city, prepare for another enemy encounter. Once it’s over, investigate the upper part of the area to snag a Ruby.

Utilize a Shield Bash to clear the wreckage and descend, thereby crossing the point of no return as we approach the ultimate secret.

Secret #9: The Final Concealment

In the following area, before entering the next major enemy conflict, encounter an Imp Stalker alongside soldiers, positioned near a large grated vent. Opening your map will reveal a Life Sigil nearby.

Climb the crate and veer left to perform a Shield Throw at some Hot Metal. This action will shift the nearby vent, granting access to the area where the Life Sigil resides, thereby unlocking the chapter’s ninth and final secret.

Furthermore, lowering the nearby crate allows access to collect a Gold Chest. Remember, the area containing the Life Sigil constitutes the main secret. With this completed, you can now advance to the next enemy engagement.

Final Reward: Demonic Essence Upgrade (Health)

As you progress and follow your quest line during the last significant encounter in this chapter, defeating the Hell Knight will reward you with the Demonic Essence Health Upgrade.
