Upon reaching the second world in Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, you’ll encounter the Cannon Cluster level, where navigating through a barrage of cannonballs from pirate ships is your primary challenge. Throughout this tumultuous setting, collecting puzzle pieces and KONG letters will enhance your gameplay experience.

Cannon Cluster: All Puzzle Pieces
In the Cannon Cluster level, you will discover seven puzzle pieces. Below are their exact locations:
Puzzle Piece #1
At the level’s outset, perform a ground pound on the first barrel peg you see. This action will reveal another peg to your right. Ground pound it again to elevate the original peg, allowing the first puzzle piece to appear.
Puzzle Piece #2
After successfully avoiding the initial cannonballs, jump onto the first platform followed by the second. In the center, blow on a pink flower to reveal the second puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece #3
Following the second set of cannonballs, you will see a peg in the sand. Perform a ground pound to activate this peg, which will cause another peg to appear on the wooden platform. Jump onto this peg to claim the puzzle piece located high to your right.
Puzzle Piece #4
Right after locating the treasure chest, ground pound the peg in front of you. Use the peg located near the windmill to elevate onto a platform behind you. Jump onto that platform and use the barrel to access the bonus room, where you can collect additional items for the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece #5
In the following cannonball section, look for two cages holding crabs. Ground pound these cages to make another puzzle piece appear.
Puzzle Piece #6
After overcoming the next wave of cannonballs, you’ll find a puzzle piece hidden beneath a platform. Collect the DK barrel next to the checkpoint and throw it at the obstructing wall to access the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece #7
After navigating through the penultimate set of cannonballs, you’ll spot a barrel. Before interacting with it, eliminate the nearby crabs. Once done, grab the barrel and transport it through the last cannonball section. Throw it at the wall to reveal an additional bonus room where collecting all items will earn you the puzzle piece.
Cannon Cluster: All KONG Letters
As always, you need to collect four KONG letters throughout Cannon Cluster. Use this section to pinpoint their locations:
KONG Letter K
Following the first section of cannonballs, after obtaining the second puzzle piece, the K letter is hidden beneath a platform with an enemy nearby. Use your roll ability to overcome the enemy as you collect the letter.
KONG Letter O
Just past the bonus room housing the fourth puzzle piece, traverse another set of cannonballs to find the letter O placed on a platform above a treasure chest.
KONG Letter N
After reaching the first checkpoint, jump between the moving pieces of the ship. Then, land on top of the crate and carefully avoid smashing it to retrieve the letter N positioned above.
KONG Letter G
Near the second-to-last set of cannonballs, you’ll notice the letter G elevated above. Jump onto the cages to the right to successfully grab the letter.
