Don Lemon Discusses Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Decision Against Suing Jaguar Wright Over “Monster” Allegation

Recently, Don Lemon discussed the lack of legal action from Beyoncé and Jay-Z against Jaguar Wright, who made serious allegations about them. In a conversation with Piers Morgan on his show Uncensored last week, Wright shared her perspective on Sean “Diddy”Combs’ recent arrest, labeling both Diddy and rapper Jay-Z as “monsters.”

“For four years I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters,” she stated.

On October 8, Morgan mentioned that the lawyers for the Carters contacted the show requesting the removal of the controversial clip. This raised questions about why Jay-Z and Beyoncé sought the removal yet didn’t pursue legal options against Wright for defamation.

On October 10, Don Lemon addressed these questions head-on.

“Why aren’t Jay-Z and Beyoncé considering a lawsuit against Jaguar Wright? Legal experts might refer to her as judgement proof, which signifies that there are no financial assets to recover from a civil suit, so pursuing one would seem pointless,” Don Lemon explained.

Don Lemon emphasized Piers Morgan’s duty to feature “truthful individuals”on his show

In that discussion, Don Lemon pointed out how Jaguar Wright’s statements could have been easily disregarded in a smaller context, but her appearance on Piers Morgan’s show granted her narrative significant exposure to a global audience.

Lemon also commented on the decision by Uncensored to remove the contentious segment.

“Piers Morgan bears the responsibility of bringing truthful individuals to his platform. If he fails, he stands to lose millions of dollars and could potentially face lawsuits that threaten his entire career,” Don Lemon remarked.

During the October 8 episode of Uncensored, Morgan revealed that Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s lawyers had contacted the show, asserting that Wright’s accusations were “completely false.” He also issued a public apology to the couple for airing the segment.

The following day, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s attorney, Alex Spiro, clarified that they had issued an ultimatum to Uncensored instead of a cease and desist, contrary to what some reports stated. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ultimatum read:

“Eliminate that baseless allegation, which is easily disproven, or face an order from the court.”

Jaguar Wright claimed she has witnesses ready to testify against the Carters

In the now-removed segment of Piers Morgan’s Uncensored, Jaguar Wright accused Jay-Z and Beyoncé of having as many as a thousand victims, claiming she had spoken with at least one hundred of them. She further asserted to have three individuals prepared to testify against the couple.

“I currently have three victims willing to share their testimonies regarding the actions of Mr. Carter and his wife. They are a vile couple who partake in unscrupulous behaviors,” she stated.

Wright alleged that the Carters held people against their will and transported them unconscious via private planes. Moreover, she insinuated that they had some involvement in the tragic death of Aaliyah, the late singer who perished in a plane crash in 2001.

According to a 2021 biography, Aaliyah was given a sedative to calm her nerves before boarding her flight, which rendered her unconscious, prompting her to be carried onto the aircraft.

Jaguar Wright’s allegations resonated in light of Jay-Z’s longstanding association with Diddy, which has come under scrutiny following Diddy’s arrest in September. The trial date for Diddy has been set for May 2025 as per the hearing held on October 10.
