DLSS Swapper 1.2 Launch: New DLSS Presets Introduced and Multi-Language Support Added

The latest release of DLSS Swapper has introduced significant enhancements aimed at improving user experience. A standout feature of this update is the addition of multi-language support, which facilitates easier software updates for gamers worldwide.

DLSS Swapper Version 1.2 Introduces Game Presets and Enhanced DLL Management

Brad Moore, the developer behind DLSS, has unveiled version 1.2 of DLSS Swapper, a versatile tool for updating NVIDIA’s DLSS technology without relying on the official NVIDIA application. This software is especially beneficial for gamers keen on managing their DLSS. DLL files, enabling them to upgrade to the latest versions or revert to earlier ones seamlessly—eliminating the tedious task of manually locating files.

Among the new features in version 1.2, the introduction of DLSS Presets stands out. These presets can be activated on a per-game basis or applied globally through the settings, as detailed in the release notes. Users will find these options in both the Game Picker page and the Global Override section. However, it is worth noting that a driver profile must be available for the specific game in order for the presets to function correctly. Interestingly, while presets A to E have been deprecated, preset K has been adopted as the standard—aiming to deliver an optimal balance between visual fidelity and performance.

Another noteworthy enhancement is the addition of support for several languages, broadening accessibility. The software now accommodates at least seven languages, including various English dialects (AU, UK, US), Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).

Furthermore, improvements to DLL management have been implemented. Users will now experience clearer displays of DLL versions throughout the application, enhancing usability. The software also automatically removes outdated backups following DLSS updates, helping to mitigate confusion. Users can, however, still access a comprehensive game history page to review detailed logs of DLL changes. Additionally, the latest update allows AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) to utilize specific internal version numbers rather than generic labels. For instance, instead of ambiguous numbers like “v1.0.1234”, the tool will now showcase AMD’s internal designations such as “v3.1.4”.
