DJ Akademiks Predicts Lil Durk Will Encounter Major Indictment Beyond Murder-for-Hire Charges

According to a report by Reuters, Lil Durk, the renowned rapper, was taken into custody on October 25, 2024, on allegations of orchestrating the murder of a rival while serving as the head of his hip-hop collective, Only the Family, back in 2022. His arrest occurred near an airport as he was preparing to board a flight out of the United States, as detailed in the criminal complaint against him.

In light of Lil Durk’s arrest, DJ Akademiks discussed the situation during a livestream on October 28, 2024. He suggested that authorities apprehended Durk at that moment because they believed he might attempt to flee.

Akademiks further elaborated that federal agents are currently preparing a grand jury indictment, emphasizing:

“I believe this indictment will not only include charges related to the murder-for-hire but could potentially be a superseding indictment. It may involve racketeering or could incorporate other murders and attempted murders. That’s what could really escalate the situation.”

Based on an FBI affidavit made public on October 25, 2024, Lil Durk faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire linked to the death of Saviay’a Robinson, who was shot on August 19, 2022.

“Additional charges may be forthcoming”- DJ Akademiks discusses Lil Durk’s situation

In his recent livestream on October 28, 2024, DJ Akademiks indicated that the full indictment against Lil Durk could introduce additional attempted murder charges.

Durk’s arrest is associated with an alleged plot to kill Quando Rondo, and according to Akademiks:

“Once the feds unveil this indictment, all previous attempts on Quando Rondo’s life will be documented. There were at least three or four incidents. They might include FBG Cash’s involvement and might even revisit that Atlanta case where he was co-defendant with Von.”

DJ Akademiks has been actively streaming discussions regarding Durk’s legal troubles since news of the rapper’s detention broke. During a livestream on October 25, 2024, Akademiks was visibly taken aback after viewing Durk’s mugshot.

At first, Akademiks reacted humorously to Durk’s arrest news, but later recognized the seriousness of the situation. In the stream, he remarked:

“He’s in Florida. I’ve got all the details right here! Oh my goodness! I pulled up the footage myself! He’s locked up! I really thought this was all a huge joke.”

Additionally, on October 26, 2024, Akademiks shared a clip from an interview conducted with Lil Durk in 2023. During this conversation, he questioned Durk about the “slide for Von”comments that frequently appear under his posts.

These comments pertain to fans inquiring whether Durk intended to retaliate for the death of King Von, a member of Only The Family who was shot in November 2020. Lil Durk responded to these inquiries with:

“For some reason, I just don’t notice those comments anymore.”

Following Akademiks’ posting of the interview clip shortly after Durk’s arrest, speculation circulated among internet users suggesting that the rapper may have been indirectly acknowledging involvement in avenging Von’s death.

According to ABC News on October 26, 2024, Lil Durk is one of five co-conspirators in relation to the attempted murder of Quando Rondo back in August 2022. He is currently detained by the U.S. Marshals Service at the Broward County Jail without bail.
