Deep within the Volcano on Caldera Island in Prospecting lies the Magma Furnace and its intriguing sub-area, the Infernal Heart. However, reaching these locations requires careful preparation and execution.
Additionally, be mindful that the Infernal Heart is accessible for only 30 minutes at a time, necessitating a well-planned approach to maximize your experience in this superheated environment!
Gaining Access to the Infernal Heart through the Magma Furnace
Start your journey by conversing with the Ferryman located at the pier adjacent to town, along the Fortune River.

The Ferryman will inform you that boat services to Caldera Island are temporarily halted due to a malfunctioning lighthouse, which needs to be repaired to restore safe passage. Given that you’re aware the Infernal Heart is likely associated with a volcano—and that “caldera”refers to the flat area atop a volcano—Caldera Island becomes your logical destination.
To proceed, navigate past the Enchanting Table towards Sunset Beach, where you’ll find the lighthouse.
Ascend the spiral staircase and engage with the Lightkeeper at the top. She reveals that the lighthouse requires a rare mineral known as Luminium to be reinstated.
Luminium, categorized as a Legendary rarity, can exclusively be found on Sunset Beach or within the Crystal Cavern River along with its adjoining Azuralite Oasis. Due to its rarity, acquiring Luminium may necessitate the purchase of multiple Luck and Strength Totems from the Shard Seller, facilitating the panning process.
In my experience, I discovered Luminium most efficiently at the Crystal Cavern River, thanks to its conveniently located merchant and the decent loot pool available.
Once you’ve retrieved the Luminium, return it to the Lightkeeper. Be cautious not to accidentally sell this precious item after all your efforts; she will remove it from your inventory.
With the lighthouse restored, you can now head back to the Ferryman and embark on your journey to Caldera Island.
Upon arrival, instead of making your way to the town of Volcanic Sands or the Windswept Beach, direct your steps toward the volcano to your left.

At the foot of the volcano, you will encounter a Fire Priest guarding the entrance to a tunnel. Engage with him, and he will inform you that the volcanic magma is hazardous to traverse; however, he can cast a protective spell for you using a Fire Opal.
Fire Opals, another Legendary item, can be found in Volcanic Sands. If you choose not to use the protective spell, you can still explore the volcano, but be cautious—walking on the lava will not be possible.
Within these heated chambers, you will uncover the legendary Magma Furnace. Periodically, towards the back of the chamber, the door to the Infernal Heart will open for brief windows of 30 minutes.
Exploring the Magma Furnace and Infernal Heart’s Treasures
Both the Magma Furnace and the Infernal Heart are brimming with unique items ripe for collection and resale. Notably, the Infernal Heart is an exceptional location for discovering Mythics and Legendaries that were once scattered across various areas. Here, you have a concentrated opportunity to enhance your Collection with rare and valuable gems.

Adjacent to the entrance of the Magma Furnace, you will also discover some of the game’s finest equipment: the Dragonflame Pan and Dragonflame Shovel. Additionally, the Dragonflame Sluice is available for resource gathering at any panning location while you are offline or away from your device.
