Discovering William “Case”Calderon in Black Ops 6 Campaign
As the lead character in the Black Ops 6 narrative, Case is a playable figure who notably remains silent for the majority of the game. He is affiliated with Frank Woods’ Black Ops unit and holds significant importance in the overarching storyline.
Little is initially known about his background, as there is a significant lack of information on his early years. As the player progresses through the game, more of Case’s past is unveiled during a crucial investigation in Kentucky concerning the Advanced Technology and Applications Division.
Case and The Cradle
The motivation behind the team’s investigation into the Advanced Technology and Applications Division lies in its association with The Cradle bioweapon—an essential element in the Black Ops 6 campaign. However, the facility has been deserted for reasons that are initially unclear.
During the Emergence mission, Case experiences a descent through an elevator shaft while probing the facility. In this strange segment of the building, he encounters a leak of The Cradle gas, which could likely explain the site’s abandonment.
As he inhales the gas, Case begins to experience hallucinatory visions filled with terrifying creatures and zombies, ultimately leading to revelations about his true identity.
William “Case”Calderon earned his nickname because he was the inaugural test subject for the bioweapon program associated with The Cradle. This weapon was intended to develop super soldiers, but an unfortunate incident led to a gas leak, resulting in the facility’s closure.
The effects of the gas caused Case to lose all recollections of the experiments he endured, with his memories only resurfacing during the events of the Black Ops 6 campaign.
