Discover the Google Pixel 9a Leaked Specs Indicating Enhanced Features at the Same Price
In August, we caught our initial glimpse of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a. This smartphone was noticed with a distinctive camera module integrated into the back panel, setting it apart from its predecessors. Further confirmation came through another leak that offered a look at the device from various perspectives.
A recent leak has revealed detailed specifications for the Pixel 9a, which is anticipated to launch around March 2025. This is a notable shift from Google’s usual schedule, as they typically release a-series phones in May. Speculation suggests that the earlier launch might be a strategic response to the expected debut of the iPhone SE 4, also slated for early next year.
As per the latest information obtained from Android Headlines, the Pixel 9a may come equipped with a 6.3-inch Actua display that supports an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 120Hz. This positions the new model similarly to the flagship Pixel 9 and 9 Pro in terms of display size. Additionally, the dimensions of the Pixel 9a are rumored to be 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm, making it larger than both the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro.
Despite its larger form factor, the anticipated weight of the device is just 186 grams, slightly less than the Pixel 8a’s 188 grams. This weight reduction may be attributed to Google opting for a polycarbonate back instead of glass. The Pixel 9a is expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 processor, complemented by 8GB of RAM and storage configurations of either 128GB or 256GB.
The smartphone is likely to be outfitted with a robust 5000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging for wired connections and 7.5W for wireless charging. On the camera front, the Pixel 9a is rumored to have a 48MP primary camera paired with a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens. It is believed that this primary sensor will be the same 48MP unit found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, featuring an f/1.7 aperture, ideal for improved low-light photography. The front-facing camera is expected to maintain a 13MP specification.
Additionally, Google is reportedly aiming to keep the price of the Pixel 9a consistent with that of the Pixel 8a, which is $499. Based on the disclosed specifications, consumers will likely receive enhanced features and upgrades at the same price point. The phone is also anticipated to launch in two new color variants.
