As you delve deeper into the enigmatic woods of 99 Nights in the Forest, you will encounter increasingly peculiar and fascinating artifacts. One of the standout objects is undoubtedly the Gem of the Forest.
This mystical gemstone has undergone a transformation, shattering into numerous fragments scattered across the forest. Once these fragments are reassembled, they can unlock some of the most powerful effects available in the game.
In this guide, we will explore how to locate the Gem of the Forest and utilize its fragments effectively.
Locating the Gem of the Forest
The Gem of the Forest can be uncovered in various fragments throughout the woodland. While they may occasionally appear in golden chests, one reliable way to obtain them is by clearing the Cultist Stronghold, where they are guaranteed rewards.
Regularly clearing the Cultist Stronghold is arguably the most efficient strategy for farming the Gem of the Forest fragments, especially since it also allows you to collect valuable items, Cultist Gems, and even free Diamonds.
Utilizing Gem of the Forest Fragments
To create a full Gem of the Forest, you need to combine four fragments. This can be done effortlessly by dragging two pieces together, much like you would repair the Anvil or prepare food in a Crock Pot.
Once you’ve successfully crafted a complete Gem, you can deploy it similarly to Cultist Gems, enabling you to unlock the Level 5 Crafting Bench. This progression allows you to access Level 5 Crafting Recipes, which all necessitate one full Gem of the Forest. These recipes include:
- Respawn Capsule: Revives the next player who dies after each charge.
- Temporal Accelerometer: Skips a full night with each charge.
- Weather Machine: Prevents rain and lightning for three days after each charge.
Acquiring the necessary resources for these creations can be quite challenging, particularly when playing solo. However, the Respawn Capsule serves as a crucial asset, enabling solo players to recover from unforeseen mistakes that might otherwise end their journey.
Although the other two machines are somewhat lackluster—given that you can simply fortify your fire and set up a lightning rod—committing to upgrade your crafting bench remains worthwhile.
To gather sufficient resources to reach this stage of the game, it’s highly advisable to use one of the top Classes outlined in our 99 Nights in the Forest Tier List.
