Unlocking Rapid File Access with Copilot File Search
Copilot File Search revolutionizes the way users locate files on their devices. For instance, you might ask, “Can you check my budget file and tell me how much I spent on dining last month?”
File Search Capabilities: This feature enables users to search, access, and inquire about file contents directly from the Copilot app. Adjust your access permissions via the Copilot Settings under Permission settings to manage what Copilot can read or retrieve. Supporting a variety of file formats, Copilot File Search can access.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .txt, .pdf, and.json files. Feel free to pose questions like “Find my resume” or “Open the trip planning document I was working on last week.”

Gaining Insights with Copilot Vision
Another exciting component is Copilot Vision, designed to furnish users with detailed explanations and insights related to content displayed in any application or browser window. This feature empowers users to analyze and inquire about various aspects of their current tasks.
Utilizing Copilot Vision: With Copilot Vision, you can share the contents of any app or browser window for deep analysis. The Copilot assists by providing insights and responding to queries, effectively guiding users through their work. To utilize this feature, click the glasses icon in your composer, select the desired window or app, and ask for assistance. You can stop the sharing easily by pressing ‘Stop’ or ‘X’ in the composer.

Rolling Out to Insiders: Availability and Access
The rollout of these groundbreaking features is currently underway for Windows Insiders through the Microsoft Store. While Copilot Vision is exclusively available within the United States, the Copilot File Search feature is accessible to users around the globe.
