Unveiling Tides of Annihilation: Extended Gameplay Preview
Today, Eclipse Glow Games delighted fans with an exciting extended gameplay video for their newly announced action/adventure title, Tides of Annihilation. Released on IGN’s official YouTube channel, the video showcases a variety of elements including exploration, combat, and a challenging boss fight featuring a unique take on Mordred Pendragon.
Although this footage represents an early build of the game, it highlights significant potential, echoing the first impressions we gathered during Gamescom 2024.
Immerse Yourself in a Ruined London
Set in an alternate reality, players will navigate a devastated version of London following an unexpected invasion from a mystical realm. You will assume the role of Gwendolyn, the city’s presumed final survivor, who must confront otherworldly adversaries while harnessing powerful abilities throughout her journey.
Recruit Legendary Allies
Throughout Tides of Annihilation, Gwendolyn possesses the extraordinary ability to summon over ten legendary knights, with the option to select two at any given time. Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Arthurian legend, each knight brings distinctive skills and attributes, allowing players to tailor their combat styles and execute creative combos. These abilities will be crucial when facing monumental foes that now roam the desolate streets of London, as players will not only engage them in battle but will also scale them, similar to navigating enormous levels.
A World Transformed
The setting is not just a wreckage; it embodies a metamorphosis where players will explore the enchanted realm of Avalon, rife with ancient magic and mythic creatures. Gwendolyn’s quest will be perilous, as she strives to protect her family, the city, and the very fabric of reality itself.
Technical Specifications
Currently in development utilizing Unreal Engine 5, Tides of Annihilation is set to launch on both PC and consoles. The development team has already announced support for the PS5 Pro, which will feature advanced ray tracing and deliver gameplay at 60 FPS.
