Bandai Namco Announces Blue Protocol Music Collection Album
In an exciting development for fans of the now-closed online game Blue Protocol, Bandai Namco has joined forces with Lantis to create a digital-exclusive music album. The Blue Protocol Music Collection is set to launch in Japan on March 26, 2025.
Album Details: Tracks and Features
This upcoming album will comprise a total of 45 tracks, primarily showcasing in-game background music composed by the renowned Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto. Notably, the collection will include the theme song “Mirai” by the iconic band L’Arc~en~Ciel as its final track. Additionally, the album features contributions from talented voice actresses Ayaka Senbongi, Yoko Hikasa, and Ayaka Ohashi, who lent their voices to key characters Charlotte, Millene, and Lalaforte, respectively.
A Lasting Legacy After Shutdown
Despite the closure of Blue Protocol on January 18, 2025, the game continues to maintain a significant presence, indicating Bandai Namco’s commitment to its legacy. The English version of the game, which was still in development at the time of closure, has been officially canceled. In a move towards restructuring, Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to integrate the now-defunct development studio, Bandai Namco Online, into its operations beginning on April 1, 2025.
Availability and Platforms
The Blue Protocol Music Collection will be accessible on digital platforms, catering specifically to audiences in Japan. The album will feature memorable tracks from the game, which was playable on multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
