As the final showdown looms that will determine the destiny of Illiad, the digital realm, and your personal growth as a Digimon trainer, Digimon Story: Time Stranger introduces an array of exciting side quests. One particularly intriguing mission is titled Dreams or Reality, which challenges you to explore both past and present environments in search of enigmatic duplicates of Hiroko.
Similar to the perplexing Core Dumps introduced by Dr. Kuga, the objectives of this mission are not clearly marked on your map. Moreover, the Hiroko duplicates are dispersed across various locations, effectively requiring you to revisit extensive areas of the game. Fortunately, you need not traverse the entire game alone; I have thoroughly identified all of Hiroko Sagisaka’s Monikers in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and I’m here to guide you through the process. Let’s embark on this journey together, Agent.
Utilize The In-Between Theater to seamlessly transport yourself through different timelines and locations. Below, I will outline the Monikers in the order they appear within the Time Jump catalog.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #1
Central Town — 8 Years Ago

Start by fast-traveling to Digital Village set eight years back. From there, board Birdramon and soar to the top of the Center Tower. Descend the tower until you reach an elevator where you can spot a Hiroko gazing skyward.

Factorial Town — 8 Years Ago

Next stop is Factorial Town. Jump on Birdramon to visit Vulcanusmon, then proceed south where you’ll ascend UltimateBrachiomon back to the initial area. Make your way through the first entrance to return to the Factorial area, where you will find this Moniker waiting ahead.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #3
Abyss Beach — 8 Years Ago

This time, Birdramon isn’t your go-to option. Instead, talk to him to fly over to Whamon in the Abyss Depths or take a direct route through Whamon.Once you arrive, head all the way south to discover Hiroko. Fortunately, there’s an entrance to The In-Between Theater nearby, allowing you a swift exit from the ocean depths.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #4
Gear Forest Village — 8 Years Ago

After your time jump to the Gear Forest, you find yourself near the village’s northern exit. Venture in that direction; in the following area, navigate around a lax Cherrymon and continue northward to reach the Sanctuary. Here, Hiroko will be reclining on the ground, where Sirenmon will eventually blossom—time travel can indeed be perplexing.

Guardian Palace — 8 Years Ago

Finally, an easier one! Make your way to the past Guardian Palace, where you’ll find Hiroko in the adjacent room, disguised as a celestial Digimon.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #6
Central Town — Present Day

Missing those sewers? Time to revisit! Upon teleporting to present-day Central Tower, step into the sewers on your left. Advance down until you reach the central chamber, where Hiroko can be found alongside a SkullMeramon and a Deltamon.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #7
Factorial Town — Present Day

As Birdramon has once again ditched you, upon reaching present-day Factorial Town, you must cross through all of Kokuwamon Park and slide down UltimateBrachiomon to approach Vulcanusmon’s exhibition. Make sure you have a ticket in hand if you haven’t purchased one yet.
Inside, discover Hiroko admiring the eight-armed Digimon figurine, which is sure to excite any dedicated fan.
Hiroko Sagisaka’s Moniker #8

Dreams or Reality Rewards

Your accomplishments will grant you the trophy emblazoned with the same name, Dreams or Reality? Additionally, you will receive valuable rewards including currency, Anomaly Points, and a delightful accessory.
- 10, 000 Reward Money
- 150 Anomaly Points
- Hiroko’s Hot Perm Rods (Nullifies stat debuffs, and attacking inflicts magic damage.)
- 2x Friendship DX
In my opinion, Hiroko’s Hot Perm Rods might not live up to expectations. While turning every attack into magic damage seems impressive in theory, one might question the necessity of physical attacks when relying on skill-based actions.
However, should it indeed convert every single attack—including physical skills—into magic damage, it opens up intriguing possibilities. Imagine equipping it to Aegiochusmon: Holy, whose intelligence stat is thrice that of its attack, despite its Lightning Shower special skill inflicting physical damage.
