Sean “Diddy”Combs, the well-known rapper and music producer, is now confronted with two additional lawsuits that allege he drugged and s*xually assaulted minors. According to reports from People Magazine, referencing court filings, two men filed civil lawsuits on October 28, 2024, in the New York County Supreme Court, alleging they were assaulted at ages ten and seventeen.
In a statement provided to People Magazine, Combs’ attorney remarked:
“The attorney responsible for these lawsuits seems more focused on gaining media attention than seeking justice, evident from his frequent press appearances and promotional 1-800 number. As we have previously stated, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every publicity stunt, especially claims that are either ludicrous on their face or easily disproven.”
The lawyer emphasized that Combs has never “s*xually assaulted or trafficked anyone,”regardless of age or gender. He expressed confidence in the legal process.
It’s worth noting that Diddy’s lawyer is referencing Tony Buzbee, a Houston lawyer who announced earlier this month that he is representing 120 new alleged victims. On October 14, six of these accusers (four men and two women) filed civil complaints alleging r*pe and assault.
The new allegations against Diddy assert incidents occurred in the 2000s
As per People Magazine, attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed these lawsuits anonymously under the name John Doe for the two accusers, revealed that both victims were attempting to “break into the music industry,”with Diddy reportedly offering them assistance.
The first accuser, who was only 10 years old at the time, alleged he encountered Combs during an “audition”back in 2005. The lawsuit claims that the boy was flown from Los Angeles to New York City by his parents, accompanied by a consultant they had enlisted, to meet influential figures in the music world, including Diddy.
The lawsuit states that Combs requested to meet the boy in his hotel room, where the consultant dropped him off. Diddy allegedly promised to help the child become a star and inquired how determined he was to succeed in the industry.
Furthermore, the complaint asserts that the child was given a soda that contained drugs such as GHB and/or ecstasy, causing him to feel “a little funny.”The suit includes a photograph of the container believed to have been used to taint the beverage.
According to allegations, Combs compelled the 10-year-old to perform oral s*x, threatening to harm the boy’s parents if he divulged the encounter. The boy reportedly lost consciousness, and upon waking, he was in tears, describing significant pain in his “an*s and buttocks”and noting that his “pants were undone.”The suit claims that the boy informed his parents, who were too frightened to report the abuse.
The second accuser, who was 17, met Diddy during auditions for the MTV reality series Making the Band in 2008. This show revolved around aspiring musicians competing for a slot in a music group under Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment label.
The complaint reveals that during the audition’s first day, the rapper allegedly engaged in masturbation while physically touching the teenager in a private interview. On the subsequent day, Combs reportedly coerced the boy into performing oral s*x on him and his bodyguard.
The teenager claimed that following the assault, Combs stated he would continue to monitor him. Ultimately, the participant was eliminated from the competition and found himself unable to re-enter the music industry for seven years.
The legal documents indicate that the plaintiffs are pursuing both compensatory damages for actual losses and punitive damages to penalize the defendant, with the specifics to be determined at trial.
During a press conference on October 1, Tony Buzbee revealed he was representing 120 new victims, including 25 minors. On October 14, he initiated legal action on behalf of six accusers (one of whom was a minor), all alleging r*pe, s*xual assault, and physical abuse. This marks the first instance of a minor from that time period suing the rapper.
As reported by People Magazine, Buzbee pledged to continue filing claims, stating:
“We will keep filing cases weekly against Mr. Combs and others as we collect evidence and prepare our filings.”
In September 2016, federal authorities arrested Diddy on charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and facilitating prostitution.
Since that time, he has consistently denied all allegations. Combs is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with his trial scheduled to commence in May 2025.
