Former bodyguard of Diddy, Roger Bonds, has made headlines by revealing that the renowned rapper once sought his opinion on whether to marry Kim Porter or Cassie. This revelation came during an interview with Cam Capone News on October 30, where Bonds recounted his conversation with Diddy, stating,
“He said, it’s either gonna have to be Kim or Cassie. What do you think I should do, yo? And I replied, I don’t know. I think you should choose Kim.”
“The reason I leaned toward Kim was because of their children. I mentioned, oh, she has four kids. But ultimately, you need to choose the one who brings you happiness.”
Bonds was referring to Diddy’s relationship with the late American model and actress Kim Porter, with whom he shares four children: Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila. While three of the kids are his biological offspring, Quincy’s biological father is Al B., but Diddy adopted Quincy when Porter entered a relationship with him.
Insights from Diddy’s ex-bodyguard on his ties with Cassie
During his recent appearance on Cam Capone’s podcast, Roger Bonds talked about alleged incidents involving Diddy and Cassie, including moments of violence and their consequences. Reflecting on the aftermath of his discussion with the music mogul regarding marriage, he shared,
“And his dumb ass pocket dialed Cassie. A week later, Cassie confronted me, saying, Bonds, you know I heard you, right? I replied, heard what? She said, I overheard your conversation with Puff.”
Bonds also expressed his belief that, at one point, Cassie wanted to marry Diddy, but he wasn’t ready for that commitment.
“I think Cassie at some point wanted to marry Puff, but Puff wasn’t interested in marrying her.”
Moreover, Bonds recounted witnessing physical altercations between Combs and Cassie during his time as the rapper’s bodyguard. He detailed a notable incident at a 2009 party where he saw them involved in a heated dispute, which began when Cassie was talking to another man.
Bonds described how Diddy became enraged upon seeing Cassie with another guy and engaged in a physical confrontation with her. He intervened, saying,
“He just lost it… grabbed her and punched her, threw her on the floor.”
This shocking event was witnessed by other partygoers, creating chaos. Bonds managed to pull Diddy away from the situation but noted that tensions remained high during their return to the hotel.
During the drive, Cassie reportedly retaliated by hitting Diddy in the face, which led to another confrontation where the rapper allegedly attempted to strike her back. Bonds recalled struggling to keep control in the car, trying to roll up the windows as onlookers recognized Diddy.
Additionally, Bonds recounted that Diddy insisted that Cassie was being aggressive towards him. He noted,
“He would point out moments when she was aggressive to show me that he wasn’t always to blame. There were times he’d say, ‘Yo, Bonds… you see her being aggressive, right?’ And I would simply acknowledge it.”
He illustrated an instance where they were walking, and Cassie suddenly kicked him in the groin as she chased them down.
As of now, Cassie has remained silent about Diddy’s recent arrest and the ongoing lawsuit he is facing.
