“Diddy Likely Reduced His Son’s Allowance” – Social Media Reacts to Justin Combs Being Hit with $190K Lawsuit

In the midst of multiple legal issues surrounding Sean “Diddy”Combs, his son, Justin Combs, is now contending with a hefty lawsuit amounting to $190,000. According to a report by In Touch Weekly published on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, court records indicate that Porsche Leasing LTD initiated legal proceedings against the 30-year-old and his business entity, JDC Holdings Group, in June at Diddy’s residence in Beverly Hills.

This lawsuit arises from overdue payments on a 2022 Bentley Bentayga V8 that Justin leased in January 2022. The luxury automotive company is seeking approximately $172,000 for missed payments, along with an additional $13,000 in accrued interest.

Earlier this week, Porsche Leasing reportedly petitioned the court to rule a default judgment against Justin Combs for the total of $190,226.25.

The news of the lawsuit quickly garnered attention online, with many users quick to offer their humorous takes. One particularly cheeky remark suggested that Justin may have missed the payment because:

“Diddy probably cut his allowance.”

Many commenters speculated that the rapper’s finances might be diverted to his legal battles. One even joked that Porsche wanted their payment before the family’s funds ran dry.

On the other hand, some supporters came to Justin’s defense, urging internet users to refrain from judgment as many individuals mistakenly miss payments.

Justin Combs’ Attorney Claims Payments Were Missed “Unintentionally”Due to Address Change

The lawsuit indicates that Justin Combs entered into a lease agreement for the Bentley in January 2022, committing to 42 monthly payments of $3,365.23. However, he reportedly fell behind on payments starting in December, after not fulfilling his payment due on the 20th.

In response to the payment defaults, Porsche demanded payment for the outstanding amount, asserting their right to reclaim the vehicle under the lease terms. According to their complaint:

“Therefore, there is now due, owing and unpaid from the Defendant the approximate sum of $172,601.43, plus additional charges pursuant to the terms of the Agreement. Interest accrues from December 20, 2023, at the legal rate of 10% per annum, until paid in full.”

Justin Combs’ attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman, explained to the publication that the missed payments were due to an “address change,”which resulted in his client not receiving the billing notice. He referred to the missed payments as “unintentional,”stating:

“We are in touch with the creditor and the matter is being settled. The outstanding balance will be paid and the lawsuit will be dropped.”

As reported by In Touch Weekly, following Porsche’s request for a default judgment against Justin last week, a spokesperson for the company mentioned that the lawsuit is nearing resolution.

Justin Dior Combs, the son of Diddy and Misa Hylton, has yet to publicly comment on the lawsuit’s developments.

Currently, his father is incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, facing serious charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. Diddy has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty to all allegations, with his trial scheduled for May 2025.
