Sean “Diddy”Combs is currently facing federal charges related to sex trafficking, and he has reportedly been hit with at least five additional lawsuits alleging sexual assault and rape in locations such as New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Attorney Tony Buzbee is said to have submitted these civil cases to a New York Federal Court on October 20, with two men and three women claiming that the rapper drugged and assaulted them in five distinct incidents occurring from 2000 to 2022.
One of the plaintiffs claims to have been just 13 years old at the time of her assault. In a statement to NBC News, Buzbee mentioned plans to file seven civil lawsuits by the end of the upcoming Sunday, indicating that his team would continue to submit new legal actions weekly.
“We will allow the allegations presented in the filed complaints to deserve attention and aim to seek justice. We anticipate filing lawsuits weekly that will name Mr. Combs and others as defendants, as we gather further evidence and prepare the necessary documentation,” he asserted.
Buzbee had previously filed six lawsuits on October 14, which included a case involving an alleged victim who was 16 years old during the incident. The attorney represents a total of 120 clients against Combs, among whom are 25 alleged victims who assert they were minors when the incidents occurred.
Allegations Involving Other Celebrities
As reported by CNN, one of the lawsuits filed recently claims that two other celebrities were part of the assault alongside Diddy. An alleged victim, identified as Jane Doe, stated that she was raped by Combs and another celebrity at an afterparty in 2000 when she was just 13 years old.
In her lawsuit, Doe recounts being invited to an MTV VMA afterparty hosted by Diddy in New York City. According to her claims, she was offered a drink that had been tampered with, rendering her disoriented. She was subsequently led to a room to recuperate, after which Combs and two unidentified celebrities—one man and one woman—entered the room.
The lawsuit alleges that the male celebrity raped her while Diddy and the woman observed. Subsequently, she claims that Combs also raped her while the other two remained present.
The new allegations assert that, with the exception of one, all victims indicated that they were drugged by Combs prior to the alleged assaults. At the time of this report, the identities of the accusers were not disclosed. Although Diddy’s legal team has not yet addressed these latest allegations, they previously denied any involvement in the suits filed the week prior.
“Mr. Combs and his legal representation are confident in the facts, their legal arguments, and the integrity of the judicial proceedings. In court, we believe the truth will emerge: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—whether adult or minor, regardless of gender,” stated his legal representatives.
Upcoming Trial Scheduled for May 2025
The trial concerning Diddy’s charges of sex trafficking and prostitution is slated to commence on May 5, 2025. The rapper was arrested on September 16 under charges that include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and facilitating prostitution. Following his arrest, a detailed 14-page indictment accused him of orchestrating illicit sex parties he referred to as “freak offs.”
Allegedly, these “freak offs”involved elaborate sexual acts featuring coerced or drugged women and male escorts, which Combs purportedly coordinated, directed, and often recorded electronically. Law enforcement discovered evidence supporting these claims during raids on his residence in March, seizing items including firearms, drugs, and a thousand bottles of baby oil.
In addition to the federal charges, Diddy faces at least 25 lawsuits accusing him of rape, abuse, sexual assault, and harassment. The first of these was filed in November 2023 by his former partner Cassie Ventura, who also alleged forced participation in the aforementioned “freak offs.”
CNN reports that Combs’ legal team has recently petitioned the court for an order prohibiting “potential witnesses and their counsel” from speaking publicly regarding the various allegations facing the rapper.
“This Court should use its discretion to issue an order that requires all potential witnesses and their legal representatives to refrain from making extrajudicial comments that could significantly interfere with Mr. Combs’s trial or disrupt the fair administration of justice,” the lawyers requested.
Following his arrest, Diddy has been denied bail on two occasions and is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits trial.
