On October 20, 2024, attorney Tony Buzbee from Texas initiated legal proceedings against Diddy. Among the evidence presented in court, Page Six has obtained a photograph showing the rapper enjoying himself at a party, surrounded by young women and several vodka bottles.
This image was reportedly taken during a gathering in Diddy’s suite at The Planet Hollywood hotel. Furthermore, Page Six noted that one of the individuals accusing the rapper has shared photos of plastic vials, which are allegedly linked to the administration of the date r*pe drug GHB into drinks by Diddy or his associates.
During a press conference on October 1, 2024, Tony Buzbee revealed that he is set to represent 120 plaintiffs in civil suits against Diddy, claiming offenses that span over the last thirty years. Buzbee emphasized his intention to focus on the ages of the alleged victims at the time of the incidents, labeling their experiences as “shocking.”
“The filed complaints will speak for themselves” — Tony Buzbee on the Diddy lawsuits
An NBC News article published on October 21, 2024, reported that Tony Buzbee submitted five new civil lawsuits against Diddy on October 20. Although the lawsuits do not disclose the identities of the plaintiffs, they outline allegations of r*pe and s*xual assault occurring between 2000 and 2022.
Among the five lawsuits, three of the claimants are female, while two are male. One female plaintiff accuses the rapper of r*ping her at the age of 13. The allegations also include incidents where Diddy is accused of drugging three women and one man. In an interview with NBC News on October 21, Buzbee stated:
“The allegations in the filed complaints will speak for themselves, and we will strive to ensure justice is served. We anticipate filing cases weekly identifying Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather additional evidence.”
The woman who claims to have been raped at age 13 is now 37. In her federal lawsuit filed in New York, she asserts that the assault took place during the afterparty of the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, in the presence of two other high-profile celebrities.
She alleges that after feeling lightheaded from a drink at the afterparty, she went to rest in an unoccupied bedroom. Shortly after, Diddy—and another male and female celebrity—entered the room.
According to the details of the 19-page lawsuit referenced by Deadline:
“Combs approached the Plaintiff aggressively, his eyes wild, seizing her and stating, ‘You are ready to party!’”
The legal documents claim that Diddy forcefully threw the plaintiff towards the male celebrity, who then removed her clothing. The lawsuit alleges that the male celebrity held her down while Diddy allegedly r*ped her, while the other celebrities watched. Additionally, the plaintiff contends that Diddy attempted to coerce her into performing oral s*x, but she fought back.
Reflecting on the psychological impact of the assault, attorney Tony Buzbee remarked:
“Following the assault, the Plaintiff descended into severe depression that continues to influence every aspect of her life.”
Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, and subsequently indicted by a grand jury on charges related to s*x trafficking, racketeering, and facilitation of prostitution. While the rapper has pleaded not guilty to all allegations, he is awaiting trial set for May 2025, with current detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
