Diddy and Ex-Bodyguard Face Lawsuit for Alleged Assault on Thalia Graves

Thalia Graves has initiated legal action against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, alleging that both the rapper and his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, engaged in sexual assault against her and recorded the incident without her consent. According to a Rolling Stone article published on September 24, Graves asserts that the alleged assault occurred in 2001 at the Bad Boy Records studios located in New York.

In her lawsuit, Graves detailed that she was lured into a meeting with Diddy when she was 25 years old and romantically involved with one of the studio executives. Her complaint suggests that she was drugged and subsequently sexually assaulted.

The lawsuit further alleges that Diddy attempted to intimidate Graves into silence. This claim includes statements like:

“Following the assault and multiple times over the years, both Combs and Sherman contacted Plaintiff and warned her to be silent, threatening repercussions including Plaintiff potentially losing custody of her son if she ever disclosed the assault.”

This lawsuit marks the latest in a series of accusations against Combs, following his recent arrest on charges related to racketeering and human trafficking.

Thalia Graves also claims that Diddy and Sherman recorded the alleged assault

Once again, Diddy faces allegations of sexual assault, with the most recent claim filed by Thalia Graves, who alleges that the incident in question, captured on video, occurred in 2001 and was later allegedly shared online.

Graves recounts that Diddy enticed her into a meeting under the pretense of discussing issues related to her boyfriend’s performance, who was employed by Diddy at the time.

In her legal filing, Graves alleged that Sherman and Diddy “sequestered her”and offered her a drink, which she believes was “probably laced with a drug that ultimately rendered her unconscious for a brief period.”

She went on to claim that they subsequently assaulted her. The lawsuit reveals that, as a result of the alleged assault, she experienced suicidal thoughts and underwent extensive psychological counseling, but continues to suffer from severe depression.

Moreover, Graves noted that she was unaware that the assault was recorded until November 2023 when her ex-boyfriend revealed that Diddy had allegedly shown him a tape of the incident.

The complaint further states that Combs and Sherman contacted her multiple times post-incident and pressured her to remain silent. It also mentions that her ex-boyfriend disclosed a pattern of behavior wherein “Combs and Sherman had a practice of non-consensually recording women engaging in sexual acts and distributing those videos publicly, including selling tapes for pornography purposes.”

The lawsuit continues with:

“A Bad Boy artist later corroborated in a text message that Sherman ‘use[d] to sell porn of him doing this to chix’ and that Sherman ‘did that to a lot of women.’”

According to HipHop DX, Graves’ attorney, Gloria Allred, is scheduled to hold a press conference in Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 24, at 2:30 PM Eastern to discuss the lawsuit.

Thalia Graves is now the 11th individual to publicly accuse Diddy of sexual assault. Before these new allegations came to light, he faced a controversial lawsuit from adult film star Adria Sheri English.

As reported in the NY Post on September 24, English accused Diddy of coercing her into sexual acts with his party guests, stating:

“The things that were forced on me to do … haunt me to this day. I anticipate testifying in New York’s federal court to help ensure Diddy is imprisoned for life.”

Following multiple allegations and police raids on his properties in Miami and Los Angeles, which uncovered items including “1000 bottles of baby oil,”controlled substances, and ammunition, the rapper remains in custody in Brooklyn, awaiting trial.

Since his arrest in a Manhattan hotel on September 16, he has been held in federal custody.

As of now, neither Diddy nor Sherman have publicly responded to Graves’ allegations.
