YouTube user SPIDER PLUG recently uploaded a track titled “First Day Out,”purportedly by Young Thug, on November 1. The video garnered approximately 7,700 likes and quickly went viral across various social media platforms.
Prominent social media account RHTV, also known as Raphousetv, shared the song on X, where it attracted over 4.3 million views. In the alleged track, Young Thug reportedly expresses gratitude towards his attorney, Brian Steele, following his release from prison on October 31 in connection with the YSL Rice trial. Additionally, he seemingly reassured fans that his longtime associate and YSL signee Gunna had not cooperated against him during the Rico trial.
Young Thug’s release followed a strategic move by Steele, who advised him to accept a no-contest plea deal that came with specific conditions. Among these stipulations was a requirement that the 33-year-old rapper create music that promotes anti-gang messages, thus avoiding any projects that could be seen as endorsing gang culture.
The initial moments of the “First Day Out”video purportedly featured statements made by Young Thug before Judge Paige Reese Whitaker during the October 31 court session. However, as the track gained traction online, many users noticed that it appeared to be AI-generated, rather than featuring the rapper’s authentic voice, a fact corroborated by community notes under Raphousetv’s post on X.
“Lmao this isn’t real. It’s AI. You guys are cooked it’s only gonna get more scary,”one user commented.
“Ain’t no way n***as think this a real song right? Plz tell me mfs not actually that dumb,”wrote another.
“Didn’t know AI can make fire like this,”remarked a third user.
“This the most flawless AI song I ever heard. The internet is scary lol,”added another X user.
However, some users raised concerns about the implications of AI-generated music, suggesting it could adversely affect Young Thug:
“This is kinda scary. All it takes is for somebody to make an AI song saying gang type stuff that could get him back in jail.”
Additionally, AtlantaUpNext, a prominent rap blog, confirmed the AI nature of the track via their Instagram account. They shared an YouTube repost by SHXDAI BEATS, which credited the track to SPIDER PLUG and explicitly labeled it as AI-generated.
As it stands, Young Thug has not made any formal announcements regarding new music, and the viral sensation “First Day Out”can be classed as misleading.
Potential Collaboration Between Young Thug and Lil Baby
Although Young Thug, whose full name is Jeffery Lamar Williams II, has not released new music since his prison return, he indicated a desire to collaborate with fellow rapper Lil Baby.
Lil Baby shared an emotional message via Instagram Stories on Sunday, welcoming Thug back home:
“I miss you mf! Welcome home my brudda! Thank god you able To get back to the fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack!”
He concluded his message with the hashtag, “Whatever Wham say goes.”
Responding to Lil Baby, Young Thug took to X on the same day, referencing him by his nickname:
“Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter.”
Having previously collaborated on several tracks, fans speculated that this latest tweet might be an invitation for another joint project with Lil Baby.
