“Did I fall asleep and miss my chance?”— Alexandra from Love is Blind slams Tim for breaking up
The seventh season of Love is Blind unveiled episodes 10 and 11 on October 9, exclusively on Netflix. This social experiment provided single individuals in America the opportunity to connect and possibly find love without being influenced by physical appearance. Among the six couples who said “yes”outside the pods were Alexandra and Tim, who joined their fellow engaged participants on a honeymoon adventure in Mexico to deepen their understanding of each other.
However, Tim and Alexandra faced a significant challenge during their getaway. They had a heated argument away from the camera, which, while eventually resolved, left lingering doubts in both their minds. These uncertainties grew as they returned to their daily lives, culminating in the end of their relationship.
In episode 10, the couple met Tim’s parents. However, following their encounter, Tim felt let down when Alexandra opted to go to bed shortly after the cameras stopped rolling. At the age of 33, Tim confronted her about the situation and decided to end their engagement after their earlier conflict. Alexandra responded by questioning Tim’s decision to break up over what she considered a trivial matter.
“I committed to this experiment until the very end. I didn’t take my father meeting you lightly, and it enrages me that you would just dismiss everything after two days because I fell asleep,”she expressed.
Tim from Love is Blind ends his relationship with Alexandra
Following the meeting with his parents in episode 10, Tim confronted Alexandra regarding her perceived lack of appreciation for the effort involved. He noted that his parents had traveled for ten hours to meet her, yet she chose to sleep as soon as filming wrapped up.
“To me, that indicates a lack of consideration. I’m not here to dictate your choices, but to me, that wasn’t okay,”said Tim.
Alexandra defended herself by stating she was simply fatigued and enjoyed taking a nap. She mentioned that had she appreciated the importance of the meeting for Tim, she would have stayed awake. After further discussion about their communication difficulties, Alexandra elaborated:
“I tire easily. I am not trying to use that as an excuse. I spoke with your parents for four hours, so I didn’t think a short nap was a big deal.”
Alexandra pointed out that Tim struggled with articulating his feelings and should have clearly communicated how significant the meeting was to him.
Despite her willingness to engage in conversation, Alexandra expressed that Tim expected her to understand his unspoken thoughts and conform to his ideal image of a partner. She acknowledged that their issues were not one-sided and emphasized that both were responsible, indicating her commitment to resolving them.
Yet, Tim had reached his conclusion. After much reflection on his future and the qualities he sought in a partner, he conveyed to Alexandra that they were not compatible.
During their final conversation, Tim asserted his decision:
“I could address numerous points, but I can’t see a scenario where I’d be willing to say yes to being your husband. With that in mind, I’m relieved we can both agree on this; I don’t wish to see you again.”
The season 7 finale of Love is Blind is set to debut on October 23, available for streaming on Netflix.
