Shortly after Offset accused Cardi B of infidelity during his Instagram Live on September 25, 2024, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a fraudulent post suggesting that Cardi had an affair with the late rapper Takeoff. The post’s screenshot claimed that Cardi spoke about cheating on Offset with Takeoff, to which she did not respond positively.

The misleading post has now been removed for violating X’s community guidelines and was captioned “IKDR Cardi.” It included a statement allegedly made by Cardi:

“You cheated on me YEARS AFTER YEARS my n*gga! The only difference is you got caught I didn’t. You would be even more BUTT hurt if you knew the relationship me and Takeoff had before he passed. RIP to the ONLY real n*gga from the group I miss those nights.”

Cardi B quickly refuted the speculations regarding her alleged affair with Takeoff or any infidelity towards Offset. On September 26, 2024, she took to X to dismiss the rumors, sharing the bogus thread with the caption:

“This is fake and weird the fuk”

On the same day, Offset addressed Cardi directly in a tweet, referencing the initials of Takeoff:

“Listen to your ppl take and the bros TOld me! !”

This prompted a reaction from Takeoff’s brother YRN Lingo, who responded to Offset’s tweet, asserting that his late brother never communicated anything to the rapper and urged Offset to let his twin rest in peace.

During her Instagram Live session on September 25, 2024, Cardi B addressed her fans after Offset alleged that she cheated on him while pregnant. The “Up”rapper sarcastically tweeted “AND DID! !!!!!”in response to Offset’s accusations on September 26.

While speaking on Instagram Live, Cardi highlighted various aspects of her relationship with Offset, voicing her frustrations about people who believe they can purchase someone’s love. She subtly indicated that when she began seeing other men, Offset threatened to take away things she worked hard for.

Cardi addressed Offset directly, stating:

“Since you wanna threaten me, talking about you wanna take my sh*t cause I wanna move on? Move on. It’s no fun when momma got the gun, right?”

As the conversation continued, she expressed her belief that she was too strong for Offset:

“I’m too much woman for you.. .. And I’ve always been too good for you.”

Cardi continued, mentioning that Offset has done it all, and nothing surprises her anymore, which has led her to stop caring. She also acknowledged Offset as a good father to their children: daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus (6), son Wave Set Cephus (3), and their newborn daughter.

Despite expressing no regrets about her children, Cardi openly stated that she regrets her relationship with Offset. Additionally, she filed for divorce from him after six years of marriage on July 31, 2024. The couple had previously announced their split in 2018, reconciled, and then Cardi filed for divorce once more in 2020, leading to another reconciliation.
