Diablo 4 provides several ways to pick up the main story and side missions as you explore Sanctuary. The Secret of the Spring is a surprisingly difficult quest: It is hard to find, and completing it is also challenging. Nonetheless, it is not an impossible task, and we’ve got the information you’ll need to get from start to finish. Diablo 4: How to Solve the Secret of the Spring Quest Riddle
To start the Secret of the Spring quest, travel north of Kyovashad until you reach Kylsik Plateau. On a mountain ledge, just below the Forsaken Quarry dungeon, you’ll find a note on the ground indicating the start of the mission. Reading it reveals the following passage:
“Beacon of warmth in winter’s embrace, patience rewarded by nature’s own grace.”
After you read the note, you’ll see a small blue circle northeast of this spot on your map. Go here to find a pool of water. The tricky part here is figuring out what to do once you arrive at the pool of water. However, the secret is in the riddle: You’ll have to be patient.
More specifically, you must use the Wait emote to show patience. The exact steps to equip the emote and finish the quest are as follows:
- Press E on your keyboard or the up arrow on your controller. You’ll see an emote wheel and customize button appear.
- Enter the customization menu and scroll through until you see the Wait emote.
- Equip Wait onto the wheel, save your changes and use it while standing next to the pool of water to reveal a treasure chest.
Opening the buried chest reveals some treasure, marking the end of the Secret of the Spring quest in Diablo 4!
