In Diablo 4, with all the demon activity in Sanctuary, you’ll find a mix of people with low morale and general unhappiness. The main story quests and side missions primarily cover you helping people understand and recover from the situation, with the Raising Spirits quest being no exception. With militia morale at a low, you’ll have to encourage them so they can continue their training regime. If you’d like to learn more, continue reading to discover how to cheer on the training militia during the Raising Spirits quest in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: How to Cheer on the Training Militia – Raising Spirits Quest
Head to Kyovashad and enter the small blue circle near the World Tier Statue. In this area, you’ll see the soldiers and some training dummies, but you won’t find any interaction options for cheering them on. Don’t worry, though; you won’t have to leave this spot or go on grand adventures to unlock cheering. Instead, you’ll have to use an emote.
To customize and use emotes, press E on your keyboard or the up arrow on your controller to bring up an emote wheel. After selecting customize, scroll through the list until you find “Cheer” and equip it onto your wheel before saving your changes. Now, when you bring up the wheel again, you can pick the cheer emote and use it to progress through the quest!

Once you use the cheer emote in the training area, head back to Guard Boza for another brief conversation and wrap up the Raising Spirits quest in Diablo 4.
Be sure to remember how to do this for future quests. During other side missions like Traveler’s Prayer, you’ll have to emote in certain areas again to progress!
Diablo 4 will be available on June 6, 2023, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
