The studio approached multiple publishers with a completely new concept for a Deus Ex game. Regrettably, the response was lukewarm, with some publishers deeming the series too niche to warrant investment.

Given the current landscape, where publishers are increasingly hesitant to take risks, as noted by analyst Tom Henderson during the podcast, it seems Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will remain the last entry in the series for the foreseeable future.
