This event will unfold over two weekends, giving players a chance to experience the game ahead of its official launch. Open Beta Schedule and Accessibility
The first weekend of the open beta will take place from August 9 to August 10, although players with early access from August 7 will gain entry ahead of this. During this initial phase, participants will have the opportunity to engage in combat across three immersive maps: Iberian Offensive, Liberation Peak, and Siege of Cairo. These environments feature a blend of close-quarters, expansive, and urban warfare scenarios, ensuring a dynamic combat experience.
Beta Modes and Unique Features
Participants can expect a variety of gameplay modes during the beta, including:
- Conquest
- Closed Weapon Conquest (class-locked)
- Breakthrough
- Domination
- King of the Hill
The development team at Battlefield Studios emphasizes the unique design of the maps, stating:
“During the Beta, you’ll get to play maps set in iconic locations around the world. Each map has different combat zones. Combat Zones are hand-crafted configurations within the maps that maximize quality under a variety of modes.”

Second Weekend and Additional Content
The concluding weekend of the open beta is set to be held from August 14 to August 17. This phase will include all three maps from the first weekend, with the addition of an infantry-only map named Empire State, which allows players to battle in the iconic streets of Brooklyn, New York. New game modes, specifically Rush and Squad Deathmatch, will also be introduced during this week.
Pre-load Information and Game Release Date
Pre-loading for the open beta has commenced on various platforms, including PC (Steam and EA App), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Players should note that the download size for the Battlefield 6 Open Beta is approximately 40GB on PC and Xbox consoles.
The full game is slated for release on October 10 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, with the PC version being accessible via Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.
