Destiny 2 Unveils New Dungeon: Sundered Doctrine

On Friday, the highly anticipated dungeon, Sundered Doctrine, was officially launched in Destiny 2. In this immersive experience, players are led by Savathûn through a Pyramid ship rife with Dread, presenting both challenges and opportunities for Guardians. This release marks an exciting time for players, especially with the concurrent Dungeon Race event where fireteams compete to be the first to complete the dungeon with Contest Mode activated. The first verified team to conquer this challenge will be awarded a custom trophy, while teams that finish within the first 48 hours will earn a special emblem and an Exotic Weapon.

Contest Mode and Rewards

Upon the successful completion of Contest Mode, fireteams will unlock Normal Mode, adding another layer of replayability to the dungeon experience. In addition, players who complete the dungeon by 9:59 AM PDT / 12:59 PM EDT / 6:59 PM BST will qualify for Bungie Rewards, allowing them to purchase exclusive items, including a work shirt, dungeon bracelet, and commemorative pin. Those who achieve the Delver Title within the same timeframe also have the chance to obtain the Sundered Doctrine Title Pin.

Exploring the Heresy Update

Alongside Sundered Doctrine, the Heresy update debuted, taking Guardians back to Oryx’s formidable flagship, the Dreadnaught. This expansion features an array of new weapons, gear, and subclass Aspects designed to enhance gameplay. Players can also collect novel artifact mods, empowering them further within the game.

Engaging Group Activities: The Nether

Additionally, The Nether introduces an exciting new three-player activity. In this mode, players can channel the power of the Taken to disrupt Anchors and thwart the ongoing Taken invasion—a concept inspired by previous events in the Shattered Realm and The Coil. The Nether promises a dynamic experience with randomized encounters and unique challenges that incentivize players to strengthen their character builds.
