The highly anticipated conclusion of the final act of Revenant has arrived in Destiny 2, marking the end of Fikrul’s tale. Guardians must now face Fikrul for the last time through the exotic mission, Kell’s Fall.

If you haven’t yet progressed through Act III, don’t worry! Bungie’s episodic storytelling format allows new players to experience the narrative in one cohesive playthrough.

Completing Kell’s Fall not only wraps up this chapter’s storyline but also rewards you with the exotic shotgun, Slayer’s Fang. Prepare for an extensive guide ahead!

Difficulty Variants of Kell’s Fall

Kell’s Fall features two difficulty settings: Standard and Expert, with Power Caps set at 1955 and 2015, respectively. While Standard difficulty presents elemental surges and standard threats, Expert difficulty increases the challenge by introducing Overload and Unstoppable Champions.

Be aware that a -15 Power handicap will cause enemies to deal significantly increased damage. Despite this, the objectives and puzzles remain unchanged between the two difficulty levels.

Load-In and Skirmish with the Trickster

Upon entering, you will find Scorn lurking around the fortress, though initial combat won’t commence just yet. This stage allows for some exploration while you enjoy the atmosphere, with dialogue occurring as you advance to the entrance.

Once at the entrance, prepare for combat as Araskes, the Trickster spawns alongside additional enemies. Although the scene may seem chaotic, there are no restrictions in this area.

Be cautious as she may become invisible and deploy mines. While elusive, the Trickster is not overly aggressive.

Reducing her health by one third will prompt her to retreat, allowing you to progress through the Fortress.

Navigating the Fortress

As you explore, you will encounter a significant Scorn boss waiting at the end of the cathedral, but he will vanish as you enter.

You’ll discover a large organ at the far end of the room—an iconic nod to the gothic theme of this season. Interact with the organ to uncover some mysteries, but first, take a left and ascend the stairway.

At the end of this corridor, you’ll find a brazier, which is central to one of the mission’s main puzzles. Interact with it to unlock a door nearby.

Once you reach the Mirror Gallery, you may find certain areas off-limits, while others can be accessed by shooting glowing rubble. Continue navigating through the fortress until you reach a tall mirror.

During your exploration, Crow will inform you that shooting mirrors with glowing red cracks will open a portal to the mirror dimension.

This dimension shimmers with a pink hue and holds various secrets. Focus on reaching the next encounter while battling through enemies in the mirror realm.

In this alternate reality, hunt down another mirror and locate a brazier in both dimensions. Lighting them will grant access to another door, leading you to a rallying point for your first major encounter: The Fighting Pits.

The Fighting Pits: Facing the Mad Bomber

Upon entering, expect to be greeted by an influx of adds and two powerful yellow-bar Abominations known as “Pit Enforcers,”shielded by immunity. Initially, focus on accessing the mirror dimension.

In this dimension, you will encounter Weavers, Grim, and Scorn Lurkers. Defeating Weavers grants three motes each, contributing to your “Revenant Essence.”Accumulating ten stacks earns you Revenant Empowerment, allowing you to return to the primary realm.

Use your newfound empowerment to break the shields of the Abominations, paving the way for the next phase. After eliminating both, Kaniks the Mad Bomber will appear, joined by the Trickster once again!

Fortunately, the Mad Bomber is relatively weak, offering minimal challenges throughout the fight. You should find this encounter manageable.

Finding The Sanctum

Prepare yourself for a frustrating yet thrilling jumping puzzle. Many ledges will test your jumping prowess, so utilize any movement technology available—like Lion Ramparts, Eager Edge swords, or Grapples—to navigate the environment.

While scaling the Eliksni huts, you may find yourself questioning your path. Look down to discover a dimly lit cave entrance and take the plunge; you won’t take damage.

This will lead you to the Vestibule, where you’ll encounter Hiraks, the Mindbender.

Conquering The Mindbender

Upon entering the mirror portal, a debuff labeled “Refracting” will appear on your HUD, limiting your time to two minutes before needing to return to the real world.

Quickly damage the Mindbender until you remove about one-third of its health, prompting a retreat. Use high-impact weapons or Supers to expedite this phase.

Once you reach the next phase, head towards the left-hand side, where you’ll encounter Thralls and Cursed Thralls. Clear them, then navigate through the passage.

Be vigilant for the appearance of braziers in the mirror dimension; there are two spawn points to watch for. After traversing the corridor filled with enemies, you’ll reach a pit with Acolytes and Wizards guarding the exit mirror.

In the real world, light two braziers to unlock a door positioned high on the wall directly across from the mirror. Once opened, continue through this door for the second phase.

The second phase mirrors the first; damage the boss until he retreats, then proceed through the exit mirror, leading you back into the original sanctum.

Defeat the boss while managing the ensuing adds, including a formidable Ogre that will also appear.

Final Confrontation with the Trickster

Prepare for a final showdown against the Trickster as you ascend a spiral staircase, clearing waves of Scorn and Grim along the way.

Watch for the decoy ammo she drops and time your attacks during her pauses. It’s important to remember that you can’t wipe here, so take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the encounter. Once the Trickster is defeated, the final section unlocks.

The Final Battle Against Fikrul and His Minions

It’s your moment to face Fikrul. Equip a strong mid-range DPS weapon and adopt a build that emphasizes high survivability. It’s crucial to have abilities or weapons capable of stunning both Overload and Unstoppable Champions.

The encounter starts with clearing adds in the arena. Focus on void-shield Chieftains that create invulnerability totems to mitigate damage, especially on Expert difficulty.

Keep an eye on the mirror at the back of the room, as Fikrul will initiate a wipe mechanic and charge his staff; this is your cue to hop into the mirror portal.

In this alternate realm, face a mix of Dread and Scorn. Similar to the Mad Bomber battle, you’ll need to gather ten Revenant Essences from Weavers (and Champions in Expert mode). With a full stack, you can exit back to the arena and confront Fikrul’s minions.

If you’ve completed Act 3 previously, this time, you will directly face Fikrul. As he spawns by the exit mirror, he will attempt his wipe mechanic again, but you can disrupt it by shooting the mirror, initiating the damage phase with only a short window for DPS.

Unleash everything you have, including Supers, grenades, and powerful weapons. Upon victory in this encounter, you’ll claim the coveted Slayer’s Fang Exotic Shotgun.

Unveiling the Organ’s Secrets

With the mission completed, it’s time to delve into the organ’s secrets.

You can play the organ by shooting the notes while standing on the central panel. Currently, eight unique codes exist, each revealing its own special secret. Some of these codes are essential for unlocking intrinsic upgrades for your Slayer’s Fang.

You’ll know you’ve successfully entered a code when a message appears on your HUD to confirm. If you haven’t, it will state “the melody does not resonate.”

Essential Codes for Upgrades

If your focus is solely on acquiring upgrades for your exotic shotgun, here are the three crucial codes:

  • 2-11-1-10-7-6 unlocks a door on the right side of the organ. Instead of heading left to proceed, go right, ascend the stairs, and claim the item at the corridor’s end to obtain the Nightsworn Sight II Intrinsic perk.
  • 1-4-11-1-4-10 opens a door in the mirror dimension at the Mirror Gallery (or yrellaG rorriM). Clear adds in the large room on the left side, leading to a knife that grants the Nightsworn Sight III Intrinsic perk.
  • 1-8-1-6 unlocks a door in the Vestibule near the rally point before facing the Mindbender. To proceed, you must light three braziers, one before rallying and two in the mirror dimension before encountering Hiraks. Lighting these will open a door near the rally point, revealing another door leading to an urn that rewards you with the Nightsworn Sight IV intrinsic perk and an exotic tonic.

Fun Easter Egg Codes

The subsequent five codes offer enjoyable discoveries, although they do not contribute to upgrades:

  • Inputting 1-8-1-9 yields the line, “The melody twists your stomach in knots. You’ve made a terrible mistake,”but so far, it has no in-game effect.
  • As reported by Fallout Plays, this code may grant a Festival of the Lost candy, though personal experience varies.
  • When you enter 1-8-4-11-1-6-4-10, the dialogue indicates, “The melody sounds like a child yearning for his father,”unlocking a sad shrine in the jumping puzzle dedicated to Crow/Uldren.
  • Code 1-8-1-11-9 reveals, “The melody sends a chill down your spine. What have you done?”with some players claiming rewards, but no known interactive outcomes exist for this code.
  • Using 4-7-9-6-2-6-7-1 plays a recognizable tune: Savathun’s song, eliciting her distinctive cackle when performed correctly.
  • Finally, confirm 10-4-6-1-11-4-8-1 activates a message, “The melody pulls you towards a harmonic presence—violent and sublime,”and teleports you to face the Scorned Organist boss. This encounter is crucial for the Act 3 Key Fieldwork quest.

Although your defeat in this boss fight is not possible, the sheer volume of adds and the emergence of a Tormentor can quickly become overwhelming. Deal damage to the boss to half health, then eliminate the Tormentor to remove its immunity.

Once victorious, you can return to Eido to complete the key fieldwork and secure the Spectroscopic Shell cosmetic for your Ghost.

Secret: Illusory Anchors

Illusory Anchors are special objects hidden throughout the mission that can only be revealed by aiming down sights with the Slayer’s Fang. You’ll hear distinctive chimes and see their near-transparent form as indicators of their proximity, and only this exotic shotgun can destroy them.

These almost-invisible crystals appear in sets of three, each unlocking a Catalyst perk.

First, ensure you possess the “Revenant Slayer”quest from Eido to start collecting the Catalysts.

Refer to the following guides for precise locations of Illusory Anchors:

  • First Set – Mirror Gallery
    • The first is to your left upon entering the first mirror.
    • The second can be found in the tree root room after confronting the Scorn, located to the room’s left near the knife.
    • The third lies at the room’s opposite end, positioned before a pair of tall doors.
  • Second Set – Fighting Pit
    • The first is straightforward, situated in the middle of the arena.
    • The second is tucked away in a side room, hovering in a nook.
    • The final one hides at the arena’s edges, between two statues.
  • Third Set – Vestibule
    • The first anchor hovers in a nook directly behind the entryway into the mirror dimension.
    • The second is immediately to your right in the room with the Mindbender. Clear it before collecting.
    • The last is located in a corner near the threshold before facing the Hive Wizards.
  • Fourth Set – Throne Room
    • The first is found in front of the throne at the arena’s end.
    • The second is located in the corner on the right side of the central mirror.
    • The final anchor is in a small room opposite the exit mirror or throne. Navigate right after entering to discover it.
