Destiny 2 Iron Banner 2024 guide: Priority weapons, best EXP farm, and more
The Iron Banner in Season of the Wish is currently active for the fourth time, giving players the opportunity to obtain new weapons. In order to accommodate the extended season, Bungie made necessary adjustments to the seasonal schedule and introduced new content for players. This includes the return of Iron Banner, a prominent PvP event that offers new challenges and the chance to earn Pinnacle gear.
This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Iron Banner event taking place in 2024, specifically during its duration from April 2 to April 9. As previously stated, this is the fourth occurrence of the event, with only one more opportunity for players before The Final Shape is released on the official servers. Therefore, it is crucial to focus on obtaining the top weapons and utilizing the most effective methods for gaining EXP.
Top Weapons to Use in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish Iron Banner (2024)
The current Iron Banner event features the Destiny 2 Tusk of the Boar and Multimach CCX as new additions. As a result, it is expected that players will prioritize obtaining the best possible rolls for these weapons. It is recommended to prioritize these two weapons before considering any remaining options from the Legacy section.
To obtain randomized perks on these weapons, you must pay attention to Saladin’s inventory and trade in Iron Engrams and Glimmer. However, before you can do so, you must first unlock new gear pieces in Collections, which are obtained through random drops from completing Iron Banner matches.
In addition to Tusk of the Boar and Multimach CCX, the Riiswalker Shotgun is another excellent choice for the Kinetic slot in Destiny 2 PvP battles, along with The Hero’s Burden SMG.
Ultimate EXP Farming Guide for Destiny 2 Season 23 Iron Banner (2024)
Gaining farming experience in Iron Banner is dependent on your armor, weapons, and emblem. To find out how many gear pieces are required for a particular boost percentage in EXP, open the Crucible section through the Director, followed by selecting the Iron Banner node. On the bottom left, you will see a small node labeled “Iron Banner Rank Boost,”which provides information on the necessary gear pieces needed for the desired EXP boost.
The picture displayed below should offer a more distinct understanding.
To receive a percentage of EXP boost, complete four challenges and then equip an emblem. Notable Iron Banner emblems that provide additional benefits include Felwinter Frost, The Golden Standard, Cast Iron, Tributary, and others.
When it comes to armor pieces, it is not necessary to equip all five. Using them as transmat for your existing pieces will also suffice.
Lastly, in terms of weaponry, Riiswalker serves as a solid choice for PvP when utilizing Special ammo, while Jorum’s Claw in the energy slot also proves to be a viable option. As for heavy weapons, any choice will suffice.
Once you have all the necessary setups, seek out a fireteam that is focused on either achieving a losing or winning streak with mercy.
