Bungie has unveiled a host of changes coming to Destiny 2 with the arrival of Episode Heresy in February. As players transition through Episode Revenant, excitement builds for the final chapter before the highly anticipated Codename Frontiers launch in the summer.
In their latest weekly update, Bungie shared details on various adjustments to the sandbox environment, focusing particularly on exotic weapons. The studio aims to revive several underperforming exotics, including the notable D. A.R. C.I.sniper rifle, once a formidable force, but now overshadowed by newer gear.
Significant Enhancements for Underutilized Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2

Beyond the D. A.R. C.I., Bungie is also focusing on other exotic weapons, most notably Telesto. This fusion rifle, which has had a history of imbalances, will see unique adjustments that reflect its lore and in-game quirks. Players will be pleased to learn that Telesto’s pulses can now trigger upon any Void final blow, allowing for ammo to refill from reserves and introducing a unique reload that rains Telesto projectiles on the next hit.
In addition to these changes, Thunderlord and Cloudstrike are also in line for improvements. Cloudstrike, which features in the current Destiny 2 Past is Prologue event, will gain a Bolt Charge bonus. Other weapons such as the Lord of Wolves will benefit from a redesign, while both Fourth Horseman and Legend of Acrius will receive buffs, making them more viable options. Heavy weapons like Wardcliff Coil, Queensbreaker, and The Colony will also experience enhancements, reflecting Bungie’s commitment to diversifying weapon usage in the game.
