The Richards Family’s Strong Bond and Cherished Holiday Customs

During her interview with People Magazine, Denise Richards emphasized the significance of coming together as a family during the holiday season. She fondly recounted the excitement of their yearly Easter egg hunts, a tradition that holds a special place in their hearts even as her daughters get older.

“We love to cook and have the family together.”

“For Easter, it’s always been Easter egg hunts. My older girls are a little older, but it’s fun for them to see their little sister still enjoy the Easter bunny and an Easter egg hunt.”

Richards’ response to being asked about Charlie Sheen appearing in such gatherings was inclusive and open-hearted.

“It depends on which holiday, he’s always welcome.”

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen tied the knot in June 2002. However, after Richards filed for divorce in 2005 while pregnant with their second daughter, Lola, the couple officially ended their marriage in November 2006.

The actress also discussed her family dynamics, specifically her relationships with her daughters—12-year-old Eloise, 18-year-old Lola, and 20-year-old Sami. According to reports, Sami has grown closer to Richards after a period of living with her father. Richards assisted Sami in setting up and decorating her new living space.

Richards further clarified the nature of her co-parenting relationship with Sheen by adding,

“We get along. We have a good relationship.”

As she spoke about the rising homeless crisis in Los Angeles, Richards’ dedication to supporting her family and community shone through, emphasizing the importance of giving back.

“I think it’s really wonderful to be able to give back, especially now in these times.”

Her dedication to positively impacting the community is evident through her involvement in providing meals, hygiene kits, candy, and other treats to unhoused and housing-insecure individuals in Los Angeles.

The highs and lows of raising children

Despite facing unique challenges, Denise Richards has experienced profound love throughout her parenting journey, especially with her youngest daughter Eloise, whom she adopted as a single mother.

Despite being diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder, Eloise has persevered through developmental delays thanks to the dedicated and caring efforts of Denise Richards.

“She can only say a handful of words. And there are times when she feels like her age in understanding, and then other times where it feels she’s emotionally three years old.”
