On October 28, 2024, Statler, a familiar face from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, took to Instagram to voice new allegations against her ex, Dempsey. In a pointed post, she tagged Dempsey’s rumored new girlfriend, Anayeli Trujillo, asking her to urge Dempsey to return her cherished teddy bears, as well as the “thousands of dollars”Statler claims to have spent on her van life.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Statler elaborated on her reasons for ending the relationship with Dempsey, detailing the adverse effects it had on both her mental and physical well-being.

Following Statler’s revelations, Dempsey encountered a wave of criticism online. Responding on the same day, Dempsey posted on Instagram to counter these allegations, presenting evidence to refute Statler’s claims and encouraging viewers to consider both perspectives before forming opinions.

“So think next time you decide to jump on a bandwagon you know nothing about. Social media bullying kills. Remember that,”Dempsey cautioned.

To support her argument, Dempsey shared screenshots of a conversation with Statler, revealing her intent to send the teddies back after returning home while also asserting that Statler was perpetuating falsehoods and damaging her character.

In the same Instagram thread, Statler implored Dempsey’s partner to ask the star to return her “childhood teddies”and the “thousands of dollars”owed for the van.

Statler noted that she was “still single”and committed to self-improvement as she processed the “madness”of her past relationship. In a follow-up post, she confessed to “happily ruining”her reputation and spoke of her affection for Dempsey during their journey on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. With regret, she reflected on revealing her vulnerabilities to Dempsey, stating it was a mistake.

In another Story, Statler shared an image of Dempsey alongside her beloved teddies, Elroy and Wishbone, emphasizing their sentimental value as they had comforted her during difficult childhood moments.

“They’re all I truly want back. I love them more than anything & I cry most nights thinking they could be in a dumpster somewhere,”Statler lamented.

Dempsey was visibly upset by Statler’s accusations and took action to defend herself, pointing out Statler’s deceitful narrative aimed at tarnishing her image. She reiterated her prior commitment to return the teddies once home.

Not wanting to be the target of Statler’s online drama, Dempsey expressed her frustration, stating,

“I’m not normally one to get involved tit for tat in online melodrama, but enough is enough. I am sick of being BULLIED and having MALICIOUS LIES spread about me,”Dempsey expressed.

In a message dated August 19, 2024, Statler stated, “Dempsey, I want my things back. Please.”Dempsey promptly replied that she would return them when she was back in Nottingham.

In her Instagram post, Dempsey further clarified that she could not return Statler’s belongings because she was “actively working and traveling without being home for any period of time,”rejecting the notion that she was “holding them hostage.”

Statler also disclosed insights from chats with one of Dempsey’s former partners, stating that this ex was “still in therapy and dealing with the financial, emotional & physical issues”left in the aftermath. Statler accused Dempsey of fleeing and purchasing a caravan shortly after acquiring a house with her ex, claiming that the funds Statler had given for the van were used to settle some of the caravan debt, while Dempsey did not repay anything owed on the house left behind.

In defense of her reputation, Dempsey addressed Statler’s personal attacks, stating she had stayed silent to protect her mental health over needing to justify herself. She remarked,

“Online bullying, lies being spread about me, and defamation of character are all actions that a specific person is doing to try and ruin my life. I have the power to back myself up, prove myself, and yet I do not. Bringing family into things, spreading lies about my culture, being damn right racist towards them and people I love is utterly disgusting,”Dempsey stated.
