Delta Force Free-to-Play Game Launches Early on PC, Scheduled for December Release

The highly anticipated comeback of Delta Force for contemporary gaming platforms was initially announced a year ago. This project, which involves a free-to-play multiplayer experience reminiscent of Battlefield, as well as a premium campaign, is being developed by the TiMi Studio Group, the team behind Call of Duty Mobile. Originally set for an early 2025 early access launch, the studio has now expedited the PC release, allowing gamers to experience it starting December 5. Both Steam and the Epic Games Store will be hosting the game.

According to the studio, the decision to accelerate the launch was motivated by encouraging feedback received during recent playtests, including those conducted during Steam Next Fest, combined with the rapid advancements made by the development team.

A notable update is that the PC release will now be referred to as Open Beta instead of just early access. Nonetheless, the developer has reassured players that there will be no additional progress resets and that the live-service rollout will commence with this launch.

The inaugural season of the game will feature:

  • A new character: Introducing one new Operator alongside the seven already known.
  • Innovative gameplay modes: Engage in brand-new FPS gaming experiences.
  • New environments: Explore distinctive maps in Warfare and Hazard Operation.

The developers have promised exciting new “maps, modes, Operators, weapons, and vehicles”for this beta version, along with enhancements in performance and various bug fixes. While controller support will be added later, more crucially, a “stronger anti-cheat system”will be implemented, which should bring relief to many players.

As a free-to-play title, players can expect to find battle passes, weapon and vehicle skins, and other microtransactions available for purchase when the open beta launches. TiMi Studios has made it clear that there will be no pay-to-win features incorporated into the game.

After the release on PC, the developer intends to roll out console and mobile versions of Delta Force in the first quarter of 2025, adhering to the original launch timeline.
