
Dell has expanded its range of affordable AI PCs by introducing the new 14 Plus 2-in-1 models equipped with AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 processors. These powerful machines are designed to meet the needs of users seeking robust capabilities without breaking the bank.

In its ongoing commitment to innovation, Dell refreshes its laptop lineup annually, incorporating the latest technologies from both AMD and Intel. Following the recent release of its Core Ultra Series 2 laptops, the spotlight now shifts to its budget-friendly AMD options, which promise competitive AI performance.
While AMD’s premium processors, such as Strix Halo and Strix Point, have been utilized in high-end laptops, Dell’s latest release marks the introduction of the more economical Krackan Point series. The new 14 Plus 2-in-1 laptops leverage the Ryzen AI 300 series, boasting up to 50 NPU TOPs of AI performance, catering to users who strive for a technological edge.



The versatile design of these laptops allows them to function seamlessly as both traditional laptops and tablets, thanks to a 360-degree hinge. Users can expect a vibrant 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and peak brightness reaching 300 nits. Equipped with a responsive touchscreen, these devices enhance productivity for users on the go.
Weighing in at a mere 1.59 kg, the 14 Plus 2-in-1 is engineered for portability without compromising processing power. Options include either the 6-core/12-thread Ryzen AI 5 340 or the 8-core/16-thread Ryzen AI 7 350, both built on Zen 5 architecture to ensure rapid performance across varying workloads. Additionally, each configuration is paired with either the AMD Radeon 840M or 860M graphics, addressing modern graphical demands, including light gaming.



Storage options are versatile, ranging from 512 GB to as much as 2 TB, while the memory is fixed at 16 GB LPDDR5X with a speed of 7500 MT/s. However, it is worth noting that this memory is soldered on and cannot be upgraded to 32 GB or more. Thus, this laptop may be most suitable for users engaged in light to medium tasks, making it a great fit for professionals, students, and casual gamers.
The Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 is not only functional but also boasts impressive battery life, with the capability to last up to 19 hours on a single charge—putting it in direct competition with laptops powered by Intel’s Lunar Lake.
