Similarly, Little Witch in the Woods will now exit PC Early Access on September 15, 2025, moving from its original date of September 4, 2025.

Sunny Side Up expressed their decision to delay Little Witch in the Woods in an announcement made via Steam. The developers acknowledged that releasing their game on the same date as Silksong could lead to disappointment among fans. They stated, “Silksong is a game we look up to with awe as developers, and eagerly anticipate as players. Given its immense influence, we fear that launching Little Witch in the Woods on the same day would not only dishearten our dedicated team but also disappoint our devoted audience.”
Additional Delays in the Indie Game Landscape
Several other games in the indie sector have also announced postponed release dates in light of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Developers have opted for later launches to avoid competition with the much-anticipated title:
- CloverPit – Shifted from September 3, 2025, to September 26, 2025.
- Demonschool – Delayed from September 3, 2025, to November 19, 2025.
- Faeland – Originally launching on September 9, 2025, now delayed with no specific date announced for 1.0.
Furthermore, Aeterna Lucis has also been postponed from its September 2025 release to an unspecified date in 2026, with the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong playing a role in this delay.
