“Definitely been to Diddy parties”: NBA fans bombard Dwight Howard with ‘Diddy’ jokes as Mexico dance video goes viral
Despite being a veteran in the NBA, Dwight Howard found himself in the midst of controversy when he posted a video of himself dancing during his vacation in Mexico. While the video may seem innocent, considering previous accusations against Howard, individuals within the NBA community have taken the opportunity to make jokes.
Despite famous rapper Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy, being targeted in a federal raid, there has been a lot of speculation about the involvement of other celebrities in his actions. Considering that Dwight Howard had previously faced a lawsuit for alleged sexual assault against a man, many fans have made jokes linking him to Diddy.
Despite facing a lawsuit for sexual assault from a former male employee, Diddy has also been alleged of committing sexual and physical abuse against an ex-girlfriend. Furthermore, he has been accused of sex trafficking and drug trafficking, resulting in a storm of negative publicity.
The allegations differ from the previous sexual assault suit raised by Stephen Harper against Dwight Howard. However, Royce Reed, the mother of Howard’s child, also accused him of emotional abuse.
Despite the similarities between the two cases, the previously mentioned Instagram video of Dwight Howard dancing elicited various reactions from fans.
Examining the Allegations Against Dwight Howard by Stephen Harper and Royce Reed
Additionally, Dwight Howard has faced accusations of his own, as mentioned before. One such accusation came from a man named Stephen Harper who claimed Howard sexually assaulted him in 2021 after the two had connected. Harper alleged that the encounter was non-consensual.
Despite Howard’s claims of consensual interaction, the text messages shared by Harper were manipulated to portray Howard in a negative light. Additionally, due to the fact that the lawsuit was filed by a male, numerous NBA supporters targeted Howard’s sexual orientation, intensifying the media coverage surrounding the incident.
Despite Howard’s denial of the sexual assault, the case was not dismissed by a judge in February. In addition, last year, Howard faced backlash from his ex-partner Royce Reed, who accused him of engaging in relationships with minors and emotionally abusing her.
According to a post on Instagram from last year, Howard is described as “evil.”
“This man is evil. Y’all fall for it every time. Ask him why he’s telling a 12yo he’s gay bcuz he hadn’t “touched anything”or watching porn with them? Better yet why it took h 4.5 years to fire the nanny that molested 2 of his kids.”
Thus far, there has not been any evidence linking Howard to the allegations against Diddy.
