In the expansive world of Death Stranding 2, players unlock numerous facilities throughout the main storyline. However, several optional locations, including The Bokka in Mexico, can easily be overlooked. Its secretive nature makes it a hidden gem worth discovering for the valuable rewards it offers.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions to locate The Bokka, how to integrate it into the Chiral Network, and the benefits you’ll reap from it.
Locating The Bokka in Death Stranding 2
The Bokka can be found on the Mexico map within Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. If your journey has taken you as far as Australia, you will first need to unlock the DHV Magellan to return to Mexico.
Upon arriving in Mexico, aim for the mountainous area situated between Ciudad Nudo Del Norte and the C1 South Distribution Center. For a visual reference, we’ve included a helpful image pinpointing The Bokka’s precise location.
Be prepared for a challenge when approaching the facility; it remains hidden behind a rock hologram. As you near the area, the hologram will vanish, revealing the facility.
Integrating The Bokka into the Chiral Network
The process of connecting The Bokka to the Chiral Network is simple. Nearby, you will encounter lost cargo that needs to be recovered and delivered to the facility.
To find this lost cargo, use your scanner in the vicinity of The Bokka. Personally, I discovered two cargo boxes located approximately 100 feet away, making the task easy.
To verify the lost cargo’s destination, hold L1 and hover over the cargo. A tag will display indicating that it belongs to The Bokka in the bottom left corner.
Once you have collected the lost cargo, return to The Bokka and deliver it. An NPC will then approach you with a request to add them to the Chiral Network.
Rewards for Connecting with The Bokka
Upon successfully adding The Bokka to the Chiral Network, you’ll unlock a variety of Standard Orders that can be completed at the facility. As you fulfill these deliveries, your star rating with The Bokka will increase, opening the door to valuable rewards for Sam.
The following rewards are available for players looking to enhance their star rating with The Bokka in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach:
- Trekking Boots (1 Star): Provides improved grip for walking and running.
- Sticky Gun (2 Stars): A tool that enables Sam to pull cargo from a distance.
- Porter Patch (3 Stars): Customization patch for Sam’s backpack.
- Porter Accessory (4 Stars): An accessory that reveals all Porter locations to Sam.
- The Bokka Hologram (5 Stars): A customizable hologram that reflects your structures when visited by other players.
Among these rewards, the Porter Accessory stands out as the most beneficial. Being able to see all Porter locations accelerates the process of completing the Chiral Network.
