Deadlock Patch Notes – October 24, 2024
Introduction of New Heroes and General Alterations
Six new heroes have been incorporated into Hero Labs, an innovative experimental matchmaking system for heroes. The newly added characters include Holliday, Calico, Wrecker, Fathom, Viper, and Magician (temporary titles). This mode aims to engage players in providing constructive feedback on hero design during the early developmental stages. Most heroes in this environment feature placeholder models, titles, and effects.
Placeholder abilities may be implemented as well, particularly if certain ability slots are yet to be determined, as seen with Magician’s ultimate. A dedicated section on the forum will be available for player feedback concerning these heroes. The status of heroes will frequently be adjusted, with various additions, removals, or modifications to abilities. Updates about these heroes will be posted on the Hero Labs subforum.
For the time being, this mode will have limited testing periods to better assess player activity and improve queue times. Players must have completed at least 50 games to participate here. If you don’t get assigned a new hero due to the limited pool, you will be prioritized in future matches for a selection from the available heroes.
Hero Adjustments in the Deadlock Patch Notes
Abrams
- Abrams: The melee attack speed has been decreased by 15% (time between strikes).
- Abrams: The gun damage drop-off will now begin at 20m instead of 22m.
- Abrams: Resolved issues where the Shoulder Charge caused an unintended 180/360 rotation on spell cast.
- Abrams: Fixed instances where Shoulder Charge would incorrectly slide along walls.
- Abrams: Fixed Seismic Impact’s occasional entrapment on objects.
Bebop
- Bebop: Increased bullet damage growth from 0.29 to 0.33.
- Bebop: He no longer gains 1% Bullet Resistance per boon.
- Bebop: Now receives 1% Spirit Resistance per boon.
- Bebop: The Sticky Bomb loses 20% of your stacks upon death (rounded up).
- Bebop: The Hook ability now returns troopers 75% faster than before.
Gray Talon
- Grey Talon: Base regeneration has been increased from 2 to 2.5.
- Grey Talon: Gun spirit scaling has been adjusted from 0.1 to 0.13.

- Infernus: Afterburn T1 has been decreased from 30% to 25%.
Ivy
- Ivy: Base bullet damage has been increased from 4.5 to 5.
- Ivy: Bullet damage growth has decreased from 0.39 to 0.36.
- Ivy: The slow effect from Air Drop has been reduced from 35% to 30%.
Kelvin
- Kelvin: The slow effect of Arctic Beam has been reduced from 50% to 40%.
- Kelvin: Healing from Frost Grenade T2 has been decreased from 145 to 125.
- Kelvin: Fixed Frozen Shelter’s failure to freeze weakened patrons.
Lady Geist
- Lady Geist: The slow effect of Malice has been decreased from 20% to 15%.
- Lady Geist: The debuff duration of Malice has been shortened from 13s to 9s.
- Lady Geist: The Malice Damage Amplifier has been reduced from 15% to 8%.
- Lady Geist: Malice T2 now grants an additional damage amplification of 7%.
- Lady Geist: Malice no longer forces unzoom on cast.
In McGinn
- McGinnis: The decay rate for gun spins has improved from 0.65 to 0.25.
- McGinnis: Mini Turrets’ cooldown has been reduced from 24s to 18s.
- McGinnis: Spirit resistance for Mini Turrets has increased from 60% to 80%.
- McGinnis: The slow effect of Spectral Wall has decreased from 25% to 20%.

- Paradox: Pulse Grenade outputs are now based on duration instead of a fixed pulse count (compatible with Duration Extender).
- Paradox: Pulse Grenade T1 has been modified from +1 Pulse to +0.8s Duration.
- Paradox: Pulse Grenade T2’s duration has been increased from 7.5s to 8s.
- Paradox: Kinetic Carbine T2 cooldown has improved from 9.5s to 10s.
- Paradox: Kinetic Carbine shots are now guaranteed to hit, unaffected by evasion.
- Paradox: Kinetic Carbine can penetrate breakable objects.
- Paradox: Kinetic Carbine now inflicts 15% more damage as a headshot.
- Paradox: The sound level of the Kinetic Carbine has been slightly reduced.
Seven
- Seven: Lightning Ball cooldown has increased from 23s to 26s.
- Seven: Lightning Ball radius has been reduced from 4m to 3.5m.
- Seven: The slowing effect of Lightning Ball T2 has decreased from 40% to 35%.
- Seven: Movement speed has decreased from 7.3 to 7.1.
- Seven: Expansion time for Storm Cloud has decreased from 3s to 2s.

Shiv
- Shiv: Base speed has decreased from 7.3 to 7.0.

- Vindicta: Assassinate no longer splits damage to allies.

- Yamato: Resolved an issue preventing ability usage while casting Flying Strike.
- Yamato: Fixed Crimson Slash following the direction of the dash instead of the crosshair.
- Yamato: Shadow Transformation T1 now provides +20% Fire Rate.
