Exciting Updates in Dead by Daylight: 2v8 Mode Returns with Resident Evil Killers
Behaviour Interactive has unveiled a thrilling announcement for fans of Dead by Daylight: the return of the 2v8 game mode featuring iconic Resident Evil characters, The Nemesis and Albert “The Mastermind” Wesker. This limited-time event is scheduled to run from February 10 to February 25, 2025.
What to Expect in the 2v8 Event
During this special event, players can immerse themselves in the Resident Evil universe. Gamers will have the option to select both Nemesis and Wesker as the unique killers during matches, enhancing the horror experience. Additionally, the Raccoon City Police Department map will be included, allowing for iconic battles.
The event introduces new gameplay elements as well. Players will encounter items from the series on the map; Green and Yellow Herbs will spawn, providing opportunities to restore Survivor health and reduce Hook States. Players can also discover Supply Crates that may contain antidotes, effective against the deadly T-Virus of Nemesis and Wesker’s Uroboros abilities.
A Look Back: Previous Appearances of Killers
This is not the first time Wesker and Nemesis have graced the chilling world of Dead by Daylight. The Nemesis debuted as a killer in Chapter 20, which launched in June 2021, alongside survivors Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy. In contrast, Wesker was introduced later in Chapter 25, which arrived in August 2022, with esteemed survivors Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers.
Despite the excitement surrounding the return of 2v8 mode, there is currently no news on additional downloadable content (DLC) that would introduce further characters, items, or maps from the Resident Evil franchise. The most recent crossover event showcased content from Castlevania, which took place in August 2024.
Where to Play
Dead by Daylight is accessible on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The upcoming 2v8 Resident Evil event is certainly one not to be missed!
