In an engaging reveal during the latest State of Play presentation, Sony unveiled an eagerly anticipated remaster of the beloved 2019 zombie action title, Days Gone. Developed by Bend Studio, this updated version promises a host of enhancements aimed at both new players and returning fans. Users can expect improved visuals, richer accessibility features, and fresh arcade modes, with a release date set for April on PlayStation 5 and PC.
A Labor of Love
Bend Studio expressed their passion for the project in a recent blog post, stating, “A game nearest and dearest to our hearts, with our good partners at Climax Studios, we strived to make this the definitive way to play Days Gone for new and returning players.” Players will continue the journey of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, navigating a harrowing open world brimming with the menacing Freakers, a zombie-like threat relentless in their pursuit.
Enhanced Features and Performance
The remastered edition includes significant technical upgrades, such as:
- Increased draw distance
- Enhanced shadow and lighting effects
- Immersive 3D audio and variable refresh rate (VRR) support
- DualSense controller functionality
- New achievements to unlock
Furthermore, the PlayStation 5 version will offer both Quality and Performance modes, with additional support for the PS5 Pro for players seeking superior fidelity.
New Gameplay Modes to Explore

Availability and Pricing
Days Gone Remastered is set to launch as a digital-only title for PlayStation 5 on April 25, priced at $49.99. Excitingly, players who already own the original PlayStation 4 version will be able to upgrade for just $10.
For PC gamers, a DLC pack titled Broken Road DLC will introduce all these new features to the existing PC version at a cost of $10, also releasing on April 25.
