Daveed Diggs’ Career
Daveed Diggs is a multifaceted artist, known for his work as an actor, singer-songwriter, and rapper. He is widely recognized for his dual role as Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s acclaimed musical, Hamilton, from 2015 to 2016, which earned him the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2016. Additionally, he was awarded a Grammy in 2016 for the cast album.
In television, Diggs portrayed lead character Andre Layton in the dystopian series Snowpiercer, Johan Johnson in the popular sitcom Black-ish, and Frederick Douglass in the historical drama The Good Lord Bird.
