Date Everything offers players an engaging experience with its diverse cast of characters, allowing for interaction and the potential for romance. This game features over 100 fully voiced characters, each equipped with distinct personalities and captivating backstories, despite its surprisingly compact size packed with content.
Although Date Everything excels in showcasing its gameplay mechanics and exuding confidence about the wealth of available content, new players may find themselves slightly overwhelmed, particularly when searching for their ideal match with minimal guidance.
The way you approach Date Everything is entirely personal. There is no definitive fail state; your primary objective is to meet and develop relationships with all the Dateables within your cozy abode.
Reflecting on my initial playthrough for this review, I often wished for some direction before diving in. After over 40 hours of gameplay and a fresh save file, I can now share invaluable tips and insights I gathered along the way.
11 Content Aware Mode
They Thought Of Everything And Everyone

A standout feature of Date Everything is the consideration showed by the developers in implementing a Content Aware mode, which allows players to avoid potentially triggering dialogue concerning sensitive topics such as mental health and abuse.
Whenever Content Aware mode identifies a sensitive topic during character interactions, players are given the option to bypass that dialogue entirely. This feature can be easily toggled on or off through conversations with Skylar.
While it may not be essential for every player, this feature is a commendable addition, enhancing the game’s overall accessibility.
10 Some Dateables Have Prerequisites
Elbow Grease May Be Required

Date Everything provides hints to locate your next Dateable through the Roomers feature, yet details regarding their whereabouts and the means to engage with them can be scarce.
It’s crucial to remember that not all Dateables are accessible on the first day. Some may require completion of another character’s storyline or may only appear later in the game.
For instance, connecting with Monique necessitates achieving an ending with Sophia the safe, and Hero Hime becomes available after you Realize 10 Dateables.
Take your time—eventually, you’ll discover all 100+ Dateables available.
9 Hidden Dateables Can Hide In Plain Sight
They’re More Than Meets The Eye

While playing Date Everything, I discovered that the game often humorously breaks the fourth wall, cleverly incorporating hidden Dateables that blend seamlessly into the environment.
Observe your surroundings closely, and try directing your love beams toward seemingly insignificant objects; this approach can help unveil these elusive characters.
Several characters are cleverly concealed, waiting to be discovered in places you might overlook. Consider checking certain apps on your virtual phone or investigating unusual shadows.
8 Earning SPECS Points
Unlock Bonus Dialogue

Initially, SPECS stats seem integral to gameplay. However, while they hold importance in the latter stages—particularly for crafting an object’s Realization Recipe—their influence during dialogue is minimal. They primarily serve to enhance conversations.
As Skylar clarifies in her tutorial, you can acquire SPECS points regardless of outcomes. By simply shifting the affinity from neutral towards love, friendship, or indifference, you will earn corresponding SPECS points for that character.
7 Check In On Your Friends/Lovers
They Might Have Something For You

Completing a friendship or romantic storyline doesn’t mean that you’ve exhausted all dialogue options.
Though you may have finished their main narrative, characters often have additional content to share or even offer you a sweet kiss.
Conversing with characters with whom you’ve already established a connection could lead to Roomers, helping you attract even more Dateables into your circle.
6 Hate Endings Aren’t The End Of The World
Time To Make Amends

Imagine upsetting Timothy Timepiece due to tardiness, leaving him frustrated with your casual attitude toward his strict schedule. Does this disaster spell the end of your romantic endeavors?
Fortunately, the game provides players with a second chance to rectify past mistakes. Once the attic is accessible and you’ve met Keith, he can reward you with SPECS candies, given that you’ve met the necessary points in the relevant stat.
You can revisit the character who harbors ill feelings towards you and offer the candy, which allows you to backtrack in their narrative to a moment before the hate ending.
Bear in mind, some character endings may become locked due to affinity point calculations based on your prior interactions.
However, utilize these candies judiciously, as you can only acquire one candy per stat.
5 Knowledge Is Power
There Are Other Ways To Know Your Lovers

Rushing through dialogue isn’t advisable, especially with unfamiliar Dateables. The essence of the game is to connect with these characters meaningfully, making it beneficial to explore their Date-a-Dex entries.
While these entries may appear as simple flavor text, they often hold significant hints for winning their favor or, conversely, can lead you toward undesirable hate endings if you make the wrong choices.
4 Manually Save Often
No Shame In Save-Scumming

Relax—Date Everything doesn’t demand the seriousness of a traditional RPG like Baldur’s Gate 3. You’re free to approach this quirky dating simulator with a lighthearted spirit, focusing on your goal of meeting the captivating characters.
Forget any notions of being a purist; there’s no shame in save-scumming, especially when aiming for specific endings with your desired Dateables.
Given that the game provides autosaves after every conversation, a practical tip is to make a manual save at the beginning of each in-game day. This ensures you have the option to revert if you accidentally secure an unfavorable ending.
There were instances in my initial playthrough where I unintentionally reached a Hate ending with characters I desired a Love ending with, and I resolved to avoid making that mistake again.
3 Unlock The Crawlspace And Attic Early
As Above, So Below

For optimal gameplay, it’s wise to unlock the crawlspace and attic as soon as possible. This access allows you to explore the entire house freely.
Fortunately, both areas are connected to a single questline. By unlocking these spaces, you can unearth at least a dozen hidden characters and open up new storylines for existing ones.
2 Focus On 5 Dateables At A Time
Don’t Stretch Your Attention Too Much

It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed in Date Everything, especially if you’re accustomed to objective markers. With more than 100 characters available for interaction, players often find themselves confounded after the tutorial ends with the directive to “continue to awaken more objects.”
What’s the next step? How does one successfully navigate the pursuit of all 100 characters? Though you can engage with them in any order, doing so without a plan can lead to chaos.
In my experience, a strategic approach works best—limit yourself to focusing on five characters at once. With only five interaction charges available each day, restrict yourself to pursuing those five until you achieve an ending, then proceed to the next set of characters.
This method also encourages you to explore one room sequentially; given the game’s relatively small scale, it’s manageable. For example, I commenced with the bedroom, then progressed to the bathroom, gym, and beyond. While this might feel constraining, it greatly aids in preventing the overwhelming confusion that can result from having too many interactions going on simultaneously.
