During its time on Netflix, *Daredevil* was well-received, with each of its three seasons consisting of 13 episodes. Following Marvel Studios’ shift from Netflix to Disney Plus, fans were optimistic when it was revealed that the reboot would have 18 episodes. However, updates indicate that *Born Again* will have only nine episodes in its first season, with the second season set to feature eight episodes.

Executive producers Dario Scardapane and Sana Amanat shared insights during a conversation with Collider. They confirmed the change in episode count, clarifying that the two seasons will be framed as continuations of each other.“Think of it as part one and part two, ”Amanat stated.

Scardapane elaborated on the narrative structure, suggesting the episodes of the first season are intricately linked to the developments anticipated in the second season. He noted:

“So when I came in and put together the overview of what the first season was going to be, the second season was implied. They are the absolute flip side to each other, which you’ll see.”

While Scardapane remained reserved about divulging too many details ahead of the launch, he hinted that the conclusion of Season One will leave audiences with intriguing mysteries leading into the next season.“Without giving too much away, at the very end of the last episode of this season, you essentially see a lot of cards being put out on a table, and Season Two is those cards going into play vigorously and perhaps viciously, ”he explained.

As for the series’ future following the second season, Scardapane remains optimistic yet uncertain: “I don’t know if the story necessarily ends at the end of the second season. I think the future’s unwritten.”This perspective underscores a degree of flexibility regarding the show’s direction based on audience response.

Although it remains early to predict the continuation of *Daredevil: Born Again* beyond two seasons, there is no denying that ample narrative potential exists for expansion. If the initial seasons resonate with viewers, there is a strong likelihood that fans will clamor for additional episodes. Typically, a series thrives on 3-4 seasons for complimentary character development; however, as *Born Again* is a direct evolution of the Netflix series, extended seasons may not be essential.
