Despite their current fourth place ranking in the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks (44-30) faced a tumultuous season with numerous challenges.

Despite being one of the top five teams in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks faced periods of struggle. In December, they had a record of 6-8 and in February, they once again struggled with a 4-6 record. The season took a difficult turn for the Knicks when Julius Randle suffered a major injury in January.

Thankfully, Jalen Brunson rose to the challenge and has effectively preserved their position as one of the East’s leading teams. Additionally, Brunson’s former teammates from Villanova have also offered valuable assistance to the team.

Despite playing for the Knicks, Josh Hart has continued to excel on the boards this season, averaging a career-high 8.3 rebounds per game. Similarly, Donte DiVincenzo has also experienced a career-best season, scoring an average of 15.0 points per game and contributing 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals.

Despite facing challenges, the New York Knicks have found a strong rhythm this season and are now seen as one of the dark horse contenders for the upcoming 2024 NBA Playoffs.
