Dancing with the Stars’ Ezra Sosa Celebrates Anna Delvey: “Hard Work, Determination, and Resilience”

On September 24, 2024, the second episode of Dancing With The Stars season 33 aired, resulting in the elimination of Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa, alongside Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov. While Anna and Ezra scored 18 points in the premiere week and 17 points in the second, culminating in a total of 35 points, Tori and Pasha managed to score 36 points.

Anna performed the Quickstep dance but was visibly upset when the show’s hosts, Alfonso and Julianne, announced that America had voted them off. In tears, she stated that she felt like she gained “nothing”from the experience. However, her partner Ezra took to Instagram on September 26 to share his admiration for her talent and spirit.

Ezra, participating as a professional dancer for the first time on Dancing With The Stars, expressed his gratitude for Anna as a partner, despite her controversial past. A convicted con artist, Anna was released from prison in 2022 and is currently under house arrest, sporting an ankle monitor. Ezra recounted his experience with Anna positively, indicating it allowed him to see a different, hardworking side of her.

“As my first time as a pro on @dancingwiththestars, I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to my partner, Anna Delvey. Yes, she’s been controversial, but working with her gave me the chance to see a different side— one filled with her hard work, determination, and resilience,”Ezra said.

Exploring the Crimes Committed by Dancing With The Stars Contestant Anna Delvey

Anna Delvey, born Anna Sorokin in Russia, spent part of her youth in Germany after relocating there at 16. In 2013, she moved to New York City following stints in Paris and London, where she posed as a wealthy German heiress, engaging with prominent socialites, investors, and art world figures. This deceit facilitated a series of scams.

She established the Anna Delvey Foundation and secured a $100,000 loan to fund the venture, using forged bank documents. Anna often booked luxury hotel rooms with only a promise of payment, eventually switching hotels when management demanded payment.

In October 2017, Anna was arrested in New York City and faced multiple charges, including first-degree grand larceny, second-degree grand larceny, and theft of services.
