Damian Priest cashing in MITB contract on newly crowned champion at WrestleMania looks likely, says veteran (Exclusive)
Vince Russo, a former WWE head writer, has expressed his belief that Damian Priest may use the Money in the Bank contract to cash in for a “lesser”championship title.
Despite holding the briefcase since July of last year, the Archer of Infamy has been unable to challenge the dominance of Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns. As a result, the star’s credibility as the Money in the Bank holder has diminished significantly, leading many to doubt his chances of successfully cashing in the contract.
After the host suggested that Priest would probably use his Money in the Bank contract on Sami Zayn after Zayn defeats Gunther at WrestleMania XL, the ex-WWE writer concurred.
“I almost think he’s gonna cash it in for a lower belt.” [53:28 onwards]
Despite having numerous chances, Damian Priest has been unable to capitalize on Seth Rollins as the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Unfortunately, the way the Judgment Day star’s booking has been handled has been nothing short of disappointing.
Despite Vince Russo’s belief, Tony Khan has not demonstrated a lack of concern for AEW ratings. See his remarks below.
